Happy with that, 197 forward, part time ruck, out for this year with a shoulder, looking to next season.

How is that good?

How is it bad? What do you know about him that makes this a bad decision?

Freeman and Stengle fail to find a new home. As does Buzza.

Give Aiden Begg a chance, his blurb actually looks okay... he's young, tall and it says agile??!!?

Still cant believe Callow fell to pick 17. We were so close to getting the two players I wanted.

I wonder how far down Johnson would have fallen had we passed on him?

I know as P2016 has mentioned that you still need to fork out a bit of cash to select a player, but I still reckon we should have taken a third pick and taken Stengle.

Imagine walking out with Johnson, Callow and Stengle. Bloody hell I'd be wrapped.

But it's not all about me I guess? Laughing

Who’s to say we wouldn’t have taken Begg over Callow anyway? We didn’t like Callow in last season’s national draft so there’s no guarantee that we would have selected him in in this draft. We’ve never liked drafting tall forwards unless they’re Lynch or Cameron and we’ve never had high enough draft picks to select a Cameron or a Lynch. That’s why our list is in such bad shape.

Why so many ruckman? I guess they progress as they get a bit older.

Ok, Callow looks a bit like a Casboult type. Might have been good to have the two young forwards but I’m not so disappointed. Guess time will tell. As it will with our LTI ruckman.

And a bit of height and fairly good weight —-about time they addressed an area that was lacking

Ash if he is the goods and Ollie Henry comes on we may have two reliable marking forwards

Nice work Dave.
Let’s hope they have also picked him because he can play too.

Agree. And he’s possibly the tall we had our eye on in the upcoming National draft.
Why not get him now while we have a pick. We won’t have one in the N D.
He’s an eastern ranges kid. His best has been good but he drifts in out very easily. That’s fine, he’s only 18. Pretty sure it’s actually a full reco but they generally strengthen your shoulder better than ever.
