Do supporters still get life membership, after decades of consecutive membership?

When Eddie came on board back in 99/2000, he had this great plan with tired system of membership etc.
I was sure 50years membership, gives you lifetime. Not that I am remotely close to that.

Would take anything that Eddie said regarding memberships with a grain of salt.
