The jury's out on the question of whether JDG will be at Collingwood next year. Collingwood did the right thing by standing him down. But I have no doubt that Collingwood gave him full support during the stand down. It's time that he repaid that support by:
1. Not repeating bad behaviour.
2. Playing to his potential.
3. Signing a new 3 years contract with Collingwood on terms fair to him and to Collingwood.

So it’s reported now with available footage the judge seems likely to downgrade assault to harassment.

Imagine if the full story was clear on day one.

I agree, he won’t be at Collingwood next year. He’ll take a lucrative deal to tear it up at another club. Why wouldn’t he. He’s clearing not wanted at Collingwood. Can’t believe how many people have lived a perfect life.

Really? I am surprised you know of that many people charged with harassment / assault.

Again. Another assumption on a supporters board.
Who’d have thought it??

The club will obviously sit him down and have a chat about 2022. They will ask him why should we play you from from round 1, why should we trust you again etc.
And Jordys perfect answer needs to be “ because my fitness KPIs have never been better “. From this moment on, everything is about actions, not talk.
Playing career best footy will wash away the sins of the past but anything less is the club setting itself up for more pain further down the road.
It’s a must watch in 2022.

this!!!!!

and also, i personally think the footage was maybe detrimental to him, his lawyers got the charges downgraded because he took a plea, they came to an agreement. if the footage was in his favour, he wouldnt have to go to anger management or whatever it is! I watch a shitload of US crime shows, you take a plea to get less than you deserve, not because you are innocent! their justice system is overwhelmed as are their prisons, they like to settle, and im guessing its cheaper than full trial fees!

Laughing Laughing my point exactly. Especially like the part about watching us crime shows. [/b]

agree hes gunna have to br the superstar he show signs off to wash it all away though

it may not come across that way in my posts, but i truly want him to get his act together, things were finally looking up for the entire club, and wham bang thankyou for nothing! Im so pissed off at him. he has so much potential, but unless he reins in his giant ego and learns some humility, we wont see the best of him, not consistantly.

I'm hearing from reliable sources that he's not exactly a favourite among the players, so its more than just "the Club" he has to convinces.

Don't blame Wrighty. He underpinned the sort of culture at Hawthorn that resulted in flags.

JDG has a lot too prove now, after all this hullaballo, this latest fiasco. He has to really lift his game, knuckle down, work his arse off, and show the Club and fans hes in for the long haul, and is going to give it his all for the team. I thiink he may have finally learned his lesson, and im expectiing a big season from him, he may well surprise his critics yet.

only 1 was an athlete, and only one is good looking.

your attitude is why the Me Too movement has gone into overdrive, and probably overkill.

"Misdemeanor harassment occurs when a person:

Willingly and without legal authority threatens to:
Immediately or in the future cause bodily harm to the threatened individual
Cause physical damage to the victim’s property
Confine or restrain the victim
Do other malicious acts and harm the threatened individual with respect to his or her safety or physical and mental health
Uses words and conducts that put the threatened person in reasonable fear that the threat will be carried out in the future"

working out a deal, ie, our court system is over run, so are our prisons, so we are happy to work out a deal. thats so far from not guilty its not funny.

hopefully its the wakeup call he needs, just like Swan got, but in no way is this a laughing matter, and your attitude stinks.

does this mean we dont have to worry about him $$%^%%$ up in the US again? will his visa be stamped please **** off?

i love how just before you go on your #metoo crusade you start by objectifying men! so predictable. such hypocrisy.

#Metoo was such a good thing to expose motherf$ckers like Steve Epstein and Harvey Weinstein.

The idea that me explaining what the world is like causes you to invoke #metoo shows exactly why its failing now! You idiots are after the wrong guys!!!

I'll leave it there, except to say that you combat a misdemeanor harrassment charge by looking someone in the eye and chanting "sticks and stones may break my bones....." Its a joke!!

Funny you mentioned those sleaze bags, the lawyers he hired defended one of them!

2 assault charges and 2 accusations of inappropriate behaviour towards women in the last what 6-7 years? Everyone else is the problem?

It’s only an occurrence to be laughed at if it didn’t happen to you

I’m guessing this has cost him financially hugely

Hopefully it’s the wake up call he needs

Meanwhile I am loving the stance the club is taking, quiet dignity and no bullshit

the club is doing the right thing, i agree. but you are kidding yourself if you think they are doing it to protect "women's rights" whatever they are these days (you have all f$cked up your case so badly)

\the club is trying to seem like the moral high ground so that they can keep DeGoey. not to lose him. I also support their stance. because they will mollify the moral bullshit folks and still keep their best player at the club,

Its all PR at the end of the day!!!
