Ahh! Look it doesn’t matter a jot this season ffs🙄 We are not going to make the finals so what’s the insane rush? I can’t see why he cannot use the rest of the season to get over his injury and join in pre season training later on.

Originally thought WTF but then you are on track. He can hopefully use the training centre for rehab (as long as he stays away from our conditioning staff).

Can also get used to being around the other players and hopefully when preseason comes he is part of the group. I would Nick Daicos and others would be doing some sessions down there so a chance to make a few mates.

We had to do something or we had Grundy, Cameron and the oompa loompas.

Derek Hines also out for the rest of his career.
Has an inoperable brain fade.

Not like he's going to get any picks to ballz up in this year's ND, before Wright shows him the door...

You are spot on RR. Everything you said would help the guy settle in and feel part of the scene which is very important for a young recruit. Also gives him the time to learn stuff from the older guys.

Bringing them in preinjured, safe time, limits hope, brilliant really.

Sure, as long as it isn't their disposal standards ...

Amazing how many of our players have had head injuries yet no one is even cited, Especially the JDG and Grundy incidents. Piss off AFL with your "Head is sacrosant" bullshit.

From THE OTHER thread:

That Witchdoctor? Didn't the Villagers torch him years ago? Torch him again, until he gets it right FFS!

Bah; our sauces are of a quality way behind Heinz, or Masterfoods....

Hmm. Makes me wonder about taking a third player in the mid-season draft.

And afl.com.au's take this week:

Quote:
Brown has been ruled out for the season after the Pies opted for surgery to repair his troublesome shoulder. Grundy and Adams have started running in their bid to return after the bye. Sier will be monitored this week after copping a knock to his jaw against Adelaide and will aim to train fully during the club's main session on Saturday along with Cox, McCreery and Ruscoe. Greenwood remains on light duties as he deals with concussion symptoms. - Mitch Cleary

Brayden Sier, if passed fit, will remain in the AFL team. We cannot afford to lose an inside mid with Adams out.

Cox and McCreery should be fit and in the mix for the Dees game.

Trey Ruscoe will likely miss a week. (I'm assuming there is no VFL game again this week?)

Taylor Adams and Brodie Grundy have been confirmed to miss the Dees game and should make their return against Freo (the first game after the bye).

Reef McInnes and Jeremy Howe are up to 6 weeks away. That puts them in the frame to play the last month of the season.

Tyler Brown is out for the year now. This annoys me because we could have taken a third player last week in the mid-season draft.

Levi Greenwood is a worry. It's been a few weeks now.

Maybe we simply cannot afford it.

Well maybe, but it was reported they were considering it.

The pick considered for Stengle maybe? But the club decided to pass.

Well looks like some selection dilemmas for Harvey, with two big names players available for selection after the bye, and the conundrum of having to weigh up making changes to a side which has just rolled the almost undefeated top of the ladder team?!

Good problem to have approaching your debut game I guess?

Wonder if Gil McDickhead will see fit to move this game over to W.A.?
