Did feel apart from the fracture on his leg he was carrying an injury to during the season too not sure what the other injury was probably a hamstring or groin.
Not Pendlebury best season either was a constant battle you can put Adams in this boat too and possibly Sidebottom too.
Really not to sure on how long the likes of Pendlebury can last playing football again the likes of Adams sidy Howe etc…..

Good to see McCreery is available for selection.

Surprised by Daicos' quick return. I assumed he was gone for the season.

Interesting; normally a club not contesting finals would place players with such injuries into cotton-wool until pre-season training commences?

Only select if 100% fit, IMO.

I heard McCreery was an absolute beast during his rehab.
That’s a great quality and shows you want it.
He wasnt getting his body right just to prepare for Xmas pudding.
These guys rehab hard to play footy, not to be put in cotton wool.

And that's the sort of application we should be demanding from all players on the list during any injury rehab.

It's a good problem to have, even this late into the season, makes it hard for selectors to justify changing a side that's winning each week.

Too bad there are no finals as incentive for the players in 2021.

...

That's great to hear... but we also need to get the best fitness and rehab staff. It's no good players having the desire without staff with the expertise.

Even if we did manage to obtain the best fitness and rehab staff, Hine would probably trade them out to other clubs within a year or two....

I think Wrighty is handling it until an official appointment is made.

Do you think Guy made all those decisions on his own, without consulting or liaising with other staff, who may or may not still be at the club?

Hines involvement in the trading of any SENIOR players is pretty simple.
If there were draft picks involved in the trade of that player, then Hine would be asked to present a list of possible draft opportunities that we would be missing out on should we swap that / those picks for player X.
Conversely, if we were considering trading out a player, Hine would be asked how we would best utilise the incoming pick and what our possible return could look like.
Hine has very little involvement in the selection of any mature age player simply because the club has so much data and info already available to them.
Having said that, Hine and his team may spend some time studying young VFL fringe players on our short list because they have less exposed form.

I find it bemusing that our talent identification team are continually the brunt of all our woes when no one even bothers to consider that maybe, just maybe, the real issue could yet be in the development rather than the recruitment.
