It would be tough surely.
A win against Melbourne is more valuable then a win against Carlton, but our biggest loss was 30 points. They have had 52, 59 (against GC), 128 (against WB), 41, 30, and 51 point losses. We lost to GC by 24 and the Dogs by 16.
I would say we would still be 17th, but only slightly ahead.

We won’t know how truly shit we are until we have played Nth, Adel, Haw and StK. Either way we are no better than a bottom 4 team. Does it really matter if we rank 15th or 17th.

You could certainly make a case for it, but I think Alex sums it up well – our losses, as bad as they’ve been against often pretty mediocre teams, have been much more competitive than most of North Melbourne’s. So even if they beat us next week, I probably still wouldn’t have us last.

WC will be the first.
North will be excited about playing us so they can break their duck. |

On the plus side, we haven't been doing all that well against teams that have won games, either.

We are probably on par with Hawks and Adelaide, guess we have to wait until we play each of them to see if we are worse.

Sorry, been way too busy of late to update this (as I'm sure the many, many fans of this thread will be disappointed to hear ).
Here's Round 17:
1. Melbourne
2. Brisbane
3. Western Bulldogs
4. Geelong
5. Sydney
6. Port Adelaide
7. St. Kilda
8. Fremantle
9. GWS
10. West Coast
11. Richmond
12. Essendon
13. Collingwood
14. Carlton
15. Gold Coast
16. North Melbourne
17. Adelaide
18. Hawthorn
Feels weird to have St. Kilda in 7th, given some of their losses, but not sure I can find anyone to go above them. One thing that really came through when looking through the results was just how average Richmond and West Coast have been – they've been surviving on reputation for a while now.
