I agree. This shit show needs to end now before it's too late and we regress to the point of no return. I feel empty when I watch us play and nothing about us is exciting. I chose not to renew my legends membership on the back of our off season and shoddy list management, and I won't come back until NB leaves.

The thing is he has to go for this reason alone: The club has lost focus of its goals over the last 25 years, normally the focus would be on achieving the ultimate prize for the club, but instead for the last 25 years its been trying to achieve the ultimate prize for an individual - and don't be confused, it does not overlap due to it being the same end goal... we've lost focus, it must always be about the club.

Two things will probably be true by the end of this year:

1. The club will no longer be run as Ed's personal fiefdom.
(and thank you Ed for your wonderful service - you helped the club in a time of trouble - god bless you)

2. The football department will no longer revolve around Bucks.
(and thank you Bucks for your wonderful service - you were a remarkable footballer)

With both of the messiahs gone we can look forward to a fresh start and, hopefully, a club that doesn't look for, or rely upon, messiahs.

Surely he's read the tea leaves and it's time to depart.

Nope.. I 100% assure you in his mind he's still thinks he's the best option to coach the pies into the future. He needs to be sacked, and immediately.

Then the Club has to save him from himself.

What are our coaching options.
Clearly no one in our box should remain.

Who realistically can we get to lead us out of this mess we created.

Clarkson? Hird? Pyke? Lyon? Hodge?
We need a change ASAP. I fear for the team in Perth if he plays all the kids.
Lambs to the slaughter.

I don't seem to remember hearing Pies4shaw opinions on what we should do if we replaced the coach? I'd be interested to know his thoughts on the subject.

As I've clearly stated that like most, I believe Buck's tenure must come to an end.
I've also written that I am concerned about who would replace him if he was sacked during the season. It would not be worth the upheaval is he was simply replaced by Harvey or Sanderson.

Can someone who may be across such things please tell me if we could appoint someone NOT presently at the club to replace him during the season?

It would have to be someone not already contracted elsewhere wouldn't it? The only person I can think who is not contracted as a coach in some form elsewhere is Ross Lyon. I think I read somewhere that Buddha has a coaching job. Brad Scott has a job at the AFL.

Could the club's finances cope with paying out Bucks and paying another person in his place ie paying two coaches simultaneously?

Would this duplicity of paid coaches situation be avoided if Bucks resigned?

Anyone on this forum who could supply such answers, please do. It would be appreciated. Many are calling for Bucks to go immediately, but not considering what they would entail.

After last night, Bucks would have lost a lot of support by those who are sticking by him.

I'm bored of Buckley now. I could just go back and search one of my old posts about him in 2016-17 and my sentiments about him back then would be as relevant as ever today.

The last of his supporters must surely see that it's time to part ways by seasons end at the latest. Both parties need to move on and start again.

No senior coach in the history of the sport has lasted beyond 10 seasons without a premiership to show for it. Buckley, by virtue of being a favourite son is lucky to have lasted this long.

I stated during the pre-season that I had fears this would be a "wasted year" and that neither club or coach would benefit from it. At the moment, we feel directionless and the club is in need of a circuit breaker.

Sad state of affairs as we wanted it to work, but it seemed doomed from day 1, and it's been a grind for the last 10 seasons. 2018 was the moment we could have poached a fairytale flag, but it didn't work out as intended.

Time for a fresh start for both parties, whether it's in the near future or at seasons end.

Spot on. Last night was the final nail in his coffin. Insane gameplan.
