Did you watch today's game?
How are you defending the indefensible. |
Indeed; that's placing very high stock in Graeme Wright, Rudeboy, whom you know far less about than the Collingwood incumbents. Would someone seriously consequential in the mould of a Leigh Matthews come to a club like us without demanding wholesale change? I think you know the answer to that.
This is not an old-school tribal either/or here. It's just basic management practice to cut your losses sooner rather than later, and stop pondering what might have been or might be if only. There is nothing unreasonable about assuming we need root-and-branch change after this long; it's the basic business and commonsense assumption here. Bucks is central to that equation, but it likely needs to go much further, too.
I fear we've fallen for a sleight-of-hand here that is using Eddie's departure to pretend sufficient change has occurred, when in fact very little has fundamentally changed and the very same culture still walks the corridors. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

We've lost our DNA.....
We are a defensive club but have focussed too much on trying to score and as a result, lost our defensive ability.
So, basically, we are going back to trying to stop the opposition kicking more than 6 goals. |

Coach Buckley deserves another year to rebuild. It is important uniformed and impatient supporters stop undermining the Club and Coach by constantly calling for change. I only ever wanted a EGM to thank the current Board and Coach for their efforts. Bucks is a proven senior Coach and one of the best in the AFL. To get rid of him would be stupid. There are no obvious replacements. Bucks loves Collingwood and we must keep him. Allow Bucks time to rebuild and get us the Premiership he will surely deliver. Supporters who keep complaining over a few early losses are the same types who don’t attend games and often pay nothing for memberships. Anyway, the Club doesn’t have to take advice from dumb fans about football matters, particularly when these same supporters have never played for the Club or AFL football. The Board should extend Bucks contract now just to shut the "perceptive fellow" up and stick it right up to the critics of our great Coach. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

The club will be a complete joke if Buckley is offered a new contract.
It just like Ground Hog Day
Doing the same thing year on year on and expecting a different result.
We are so far off gameplan/gamestyle than other clubs it literally so far off the pace. For a professionally run club we seem to make plenty of mistakes.
The club is already losing many supporters and if Buckley is given another contract more will walk away.
Its been 10 years. Its time for a new voice. Enough is enough. _________________ The Great Macedonian Marvel |

So if we follow form and logic - we should beat Nth next week ('should'), the week after we play a pretty good Sydney side away and the week after Port away followed by the Cats - I expect us to be duly annihilated in all three of these games... that'll put us 2-9 at the halfway mark... ho hum fiddle fiddlesticks... _________________ All Aboard!! Bit of a chemistry issue?
Bucks says it a biology issue in the DNA.
I think it's a physics issue. We can't kick a ball. |

I've had a gut full of this crap, ffs, pull the trigger, Collingwood. The longer he stays, the further away we are at any chance of improvement _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Right now I’d take, it’s a lot closer than what we are currently hitting our targets with.
Buckley currently has us at 1+1 = 10.
You could give him another 10 years and we wouldn’t execute correctly. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |
