The comms are appalling.
Sunil Gavaskar is STILL saying "2 sixes AND 4 boundaries"
Wasn't he India's Test captain ?
Hey, Sunny. Both sixes & fours are boundaries.
Matt Hayden ? Terrible. As dry as an old dog bone.
They make Simon Doull sound interesting. _________________ Donny.

"Australian quick Josh Hazlewood has helped steer Chennai Super Kings into the Indian Premier League playoffs, his three wickets earning him the player-of-the-match award as the men in yellow beat hapless Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets.
After Hyderabad had been inserted by MS Dhoni on Thursday, Hazlewood struck early to get the crucial wicket of England World Cup opener Jason Roy and proved economical as well as menacing as he took 3-24 off his four overs, which featured 13 dot balls that kept the pressure on.
Along with Dwayne Bravo, who took 2-17 off his four overs, including the other prized scalp of Sunrisers' skipper Kane Williamson, Hazlewood's effort kept them down to a relatively flimsy 7-134."

Flat-track bully Smith's defective technique was exposed by an Oz bowler yet again.
This time it was NCN. He bowled Smith easily.
https://www.cricket.com.au/~/-/media/News/2021/10/03SteveSmithBowled.ashx
This continues a growing pattern... It feels like the Oz bowlers (the international ones, but even not very good ones like NCN) have worked him out. Maybe it's the familiarity of net sessions. And maybe they are trying to keep it secret from international bowlers for Oz's sake.
e.g.
We saw in last year's IPL Cummins totally destroy Smith's defective technique. (Smith could not even get bat on ball.)
Before that in the BBL Zampa humiliated Smith.
And there was also Pattinson (also in the BBL)...
Very interesting...
(Dunno, but I'm guessing Hazlewood and Starc have never had the chance to bowl to Smith in a match. But Hazlewood is playing in this season's IPL...) |

NCN took 4/14 for RR against MI and was Player of the Match.
He's not in Oz's T20 squad, so this is not "good news" for Oz.
I guess it means he can take a few wickets, not just the cheap wicket of that IPL bunny, FTB Smith... But it was allegedly a bowlers' pitch. |

"Bubble fatigue is real and rife, but somehow it has less of an influence on participation in the Indian Premier League. Several Australians who did not go to the Caribbean or Bangladesh, to play for their country and bring world-class cricket to hungry audiences, instead fulfilled their commitments to the IPL. The wealth of the IPL has been figured as the bogeyman for international cricket, and it’s hard not to buy into that now. If it was all to prepare best for the World Twenty20, it hasn’t quite worked out for David Warner or Steve Smith, who have struggled to get a hit for their franchises. Australia would have given them a game."

Watching the Delhi Capitals v. RCB.
Capitals scored 5/164. Shaw 48, Dhawan 43, Siraj 2/25.
RCB boasts a strong batting lineup - Kohli, Padikkal, Christian, Maxwell and de Villiers - for starters.
Should be fun. _________________ Donny.
