Tohill, Keane (Ireland)
Magden, Wilson (basketball)
Murphy (cricket)
Cox (USA)

Perhaps it was salary cap pressure forcing us to go this way, trying to get in some talls, but Nothing much here really for the years ahead.

Time to stop wasting resources on athletes that are not natural footballers.

There are plenty of better players and options available in the lower leagues.

Cox and Madge have been serviceable. Cox looked like he was going to take the game to new heights at one stage but alas it wasn’t to be.
Thanks for your service.

I still think Murphy deserves another year. This is the first time he has gotten his body to allow him to play football. He has tallent was in line to be a high draft pick and is still only 21.

Plus, he's cheap - and we are rebuilding on the motherf#cker of all budgets.

The international recruits can all hit the road for good; I'm over it.

He also isn't really a category "other" he played school football and was extremely talented at Brighton Grammar. He also happened to be a very good Cricket player who could have played for Victoria. Choose football over Cricket.

Will Sutherland was in line to be a top 3 pick as a key forward a few years ago and chose Cricket over Football. Could well end up playing Cricket for Australia.

So's all the shit in my garage, but I haven't got room for it, nor the patience to find a use for it in the next few years... Surprised

This thread is pretty silly.

Firstly, the assessments of the players are harsh. Madgen has been very solid, people seem to have no idea how important he's been in a badly undermanned defence. Takes some marks and has a reasonable kick. Has his limits but tries his guts out, and nobody better in the wings to replace him. One of our best yesterday.

Murphy still has a chance to make it, though seems to lack a bit of x factor. Definitely worth persisting with in a team with a better system. Cox is done, though he was clearly worth a shot and could still be traded for a third rounder or something. The Irish kids and Wilson are totally untested. Wilson looked clean yesterday, and has shown real promise in the reserves.

The other reason the thread is stupid is that a bunch of these players were bonus shots for the club, in that they do not count in the playing list cap and i think their salaries are partially offset too.
