I think the club is planning for the post Buckley years.

I'm certainly not intending to be critical, just musing. When this nefarious institution of the "club" is mentioned, I often think who exactly this means. Smile Who would be making such plans - the board, the President, the CEO, footy manager, coaching panel? I guess I'm just wondering who actually steers the ship and/or sets the future agenda Smile

Anyway, back to the thread.... I can't wait to see more of the exquisite skills of young Daics and looking forward to seeing if IQ can continue on his upward projection.

Lol fair question it would be up to the board. I am assuming Eddie has input still....although I would imagine it would be limited by the fact he won't be thier for the incoming.

i'm looking forward to seeing Kelly but I think I'll be watching Sier.
Sier has been irregular and I think he needs to show something this year now that Wills is gone. Another year of maturity might do it - hope so.
The people I'll worry about will be Roughead, WHE - I'm hoping they have a fire in the belly because they have the ability.

Josh Daicos, he alone has reignited my passion for the game. The rest are like robots.

Yeah DeGoey, Pendles, Moore, Maynard etc are real robots...

Aside from the 1st year players who we cant expect much from, I see plenty of potential upside in the following:
Noble
Murphy
Kelly
Quaynor
T Brown
Darcy Cameron

I am also looking forward to Tom Wilson, Bianco and Rantall making a debut at some stage.

I am looking forward to watching the greatest ever in action yet another time:

Sier. Just reminds me of Swanny. Comes out of contract at the end of this year. Club has put faith in him by choosing hm over Wills. This has to be his break out year.

I assume that you typed LIVE in capital letters because you believe that in their last game there, in the prelim. against GWS in 2019, they played DEAD.

True, yes, and De Goey, finally getting his act and shit together, knuckle down, be more mature, and become what he now is, a more experienced Magpie player, he should be a Leader to the raft of young players we have recruited for this season. No more mucking around, become the Leader you can and ought o be Jordon, and guide our youngsters. Idea Idea

Is there going to be a surprise free agent come our way during the year or not?

I'll be interested to see how the following goes;

*Sier. Had an injury riddled 2020. Returned in good condition, looking really fit. 2021 will be a big year for him. If he wants to stamp himself as the next midfield star of this club, this will be his year.

*Howe. Can he come back from the knee injury? Was in AA form until that happened. Missed him dearly for the rest of the season.

*Kelly. Is he the FF we've been waiting for? Was named emergency in the Cats final after missing every game since making his debut in round 6 (Elbow injury). 194 cm and 20 years old. If he's named for round 1, get excited.

*JT. I just want him to be selfish from here on. Kick more goals and take every shot possible. At 29, he's going to start running out of time to keep his spot. 38 goals in 2018, 22 in 2019 and only 4 in 2020.

*Daicos. I hope he continues to grow and build on his fantastic 2020 season.

*Levi and Mayne. I want both players to leave the club with dignity. I'd expect both to be in their final year and would love to send them off in the best way possible.
