Great question.

AS much as I love the characters of our sides, especially in 2010, Pendles gets my nod.

Every single time he gets the ball I feel a sense of relief that we won't panic or waste it. He has probably saved me from a few heart attacks...

Leon and Didak.
May well have been Andy Krakour if he’d been around a bit longer. That was a short but very sweet stint.

Was it causal or correlational?

Causal, getting rid of the dead wood and getting in better players. Tarrant was too much a party boy to give a shit about being successful. After Tarrant left, Didak and Shaw had their massive awakening in following seasons and then things finally clicked.

Swan, Pendles, Daisy and Sidebottom (I'd like Sidebottom a whole lot more if the coach played him in his correct position though..)

So why did we bring him back then?

Overall, Pendles. Due to: his utter brilliance, his loyalty, his professionalism as a champion athlete, his willingness to give his all for the team.
I loved Travis Cloke when he was at his best, and was devastated by his destiny under Buckley.
Currently: Brodie Michocek, always sets a fine example for his younger team mates, and if he was played in a role that properly corresponded to his capacities, would be consistently effectinve against strongest opposition defences as well.

Seems strange that the club didn't notice that Shaw & Didak improved when Tarrant left and then underperformed when he came back and turned them in to party boys again.

Our only premiership captain gets the nod for me - Maxwell got the most out of every opportunity and was a great leader.

That would be a brilliant outcome. Please footy Gods let it happen.
