Simon Taufel explained the TV review protocol. He says the sound and image for Snicko are calibrated each morning by the technician. The protocol allows one frame after the spike.
....................................
Slater went out to look at the pitch in the break.
Slater: "It's flat. It's a great time to bat. ... There's nothing wrong with batting conditions."
....................................
Slater now raises the possibility of India taking the extra half an hour to get the result tonight... |

The spike did match the ball passing the bat. And nothing else was in the vicinity to cause it.
TBH I reckon there was a slight deviation of the ball too. |

Ponting: "You can't blame the pitch. It's been perfect batting conditions."
And this collapse is when India are a bowler down.
Umesh is expected to miss 4 weeks now. |

Green & Cummins finally wipe out the deficit and see it through to stumps.
Oz 6/133. Oz leads by 2 runs.
cricinfo:
"At that point Australia had lost 3 for 1 in 23 balls and were lurching towards a three-day defeat, but that was at least avoided as Cameron Green and Pat Cummins ground out 34 in 18 overs to ensure India will need to bat again although it remained a long way from being a recovery."
...........................................
The big news stories will be the dismal batting of Burns and Smith.
Already, Fairfax has the headline
'Sheer panic mode': Ponting says Burns' time is up.
P. Lalor of NewsCorp said (on 7) Smith looked tired. He brought up the excuse of the bio-bubble. Ponting replied that Cummins has been in the same bubble and you'd expect it to be worse for bowlers than batsman.
Gavaskar sneered that now we know why India was bowled out for 36. It must be the bubble. |

Interesting day today day 4 of the test.
Probably will occur aussies be bunddled out and india will be chasing say 25 runs to win by 10 wickets.
Or.
Aussies make a say further 130 runs (4 wickets in hand).
Alot hinges on green and cummins.
Green and Cummins did well towards the end of yesterdays play we could have been bowled out and lose by an innining and say 16 runs.
Good thing aussies are in front not many wickets in hand though would have been alot better if we had 6 or 7 wickets in the shed.
I expect india to win this easy from here and be over by lunch.
Aussies are just a good/average team these days. Only got Hazelwood Cummins Starc thats it. i feel lyon is past it and got to retire soon.
Batting is a real issue and is not reliable enough.
Cricket australia need to look further a field and bring in young talent too. the team currently is an ageing team. Needs a much needed freshen up. |

Cummins out for 22. Green still there. Australia lead by 25. It may be enough - but I'd like them to get another 15 or so to make it a certainty. |

not enough wickets in hand that the problem you need india to chase at least 100 runs. They really need another say 90 or so runs. |

Oz 195 & 200
India 326 & 2/70.
India crush Oz inside 4 days. Remember: India are three first-choice bowlers down and counting this tour. And that's still not enough help for this pathetic batting lineup. They can't get Warner into the side soon enough.
For the losers, Green made a valiant 45 from 146 balls. Maybe he's the future of Oz cricket. |
