Post subject: The resurgence of WHE
|
There have been several times over the past few seasons when I have wanted WHE gone. He promised so much and failed to deliver time and time again. Dropping simple marks and seemingly disinterested in the contest.
Lately though something seems to have changed with Will. The efforts have been more consistent and his impact across all areas of the field seem to have improved. His tackle deep in defence being an example of his expanded game of late.
I'm still mystified as to where his best position is but I am liking the turn around in form. If he can continue with the two way play he offers great versatility and a difficult match up for other teams.
Thoughts? |

Fair call. You would still want him to finish out the season strongly though.
He’s also a senior player in this team and you need them playing at their best around the young blokes.
Hoskin Elliot does his best work one on one. He’s not a fan a body contact but I reckon wing or very high half forward is his go. |

^ pretty much agree with the above needs to play wing and drift into the forward line when he can get there without (as stated above) too much body contact. Otherwise imo he's very very tradable. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

WHE has definitely performed better playing off the wing. He is a great contested mark and can deliver beautifully. Perhaps not quite as physical as others but I think he has covered Phillips, in the same role, quite well. _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world, those that understand binary and those that don't. |

Yep, wing with no accountability is a better position for him. Reckon we have others that can go through there and perform just as well. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Its good to see him fit and playing better football. In past seasons he has carried injuries which hasn't helped his performance. _________________ We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Hope he finishes the season well and increases his value. He is definitely one of the players we can trade to get back into the draft. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Agree with others who say he plays his best football on the wing.
Certainly improved after a poor start to the year. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Regardless, I think we can safely presume his next contract, if extended, will be a short one, and somewhat lower. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
