Gotta ask: Why bring in Short for the injured Warner when lefty and opening bat, Wade is already in the squad ?

.... and then play neither. Rolling Eyes

Who selects the final XI for the Aussies ?

And who decides the batting order, esp. when the Skip is out in the middle ?

Wade was advertised as first drop, today. Good thinking - Short out, replaced by like. Finch out, Wade in, re-uniting the best opening pair in BBL.

So, where did Wade bat ? #6. Sad

Puzzled.

Australia was recently the #1 rated T20 team.

Today. Needing the win to stay alive in the series, they went in without, arguably, the best opening pair in World T20 - Warner/Finch.

Their 'keeper/batsman, Carey.

No sign of their triple threat quicks - Starc, Cummins & Hazlewood. OK, Starc was out of form but no Hazlewood ?

Yes. Injury to the top 2, although Wade did the job, and Cummins rested, really disrupted the team ballance.

And they expected to win, against a team who were hot - having played (in most cases) all the IPL matches.

Having said that, India were without Bumrah and Rohit - 2 of their very best.
