Congrats to my greatest team I have ever seen.
Melbourne Storm.
Another Grand Final appearance.
If you want to see what greatness means ...see the record of Melbourne Storm.
Absolutely amazing.
Best run Club in Australia since Collingwood's Mean Machine. |

Rugby League hasnt changed for 50 years.
QLD Maroons won the state of origin for like what 9 years in a row? do you really think that would fly in the AFL? |

Which Club has the scores on the board... Storm or the Pies?
It really is a simple answer.
The Pies 4 flags in 84 years.
Wow what a great record...and that is when the first 30 years everyone and I mean everyone wanted to play for the Pies. |

Collingwood is constantly surrounded by examples of greatness, unfortunately we have never (since the 1920's mean machine) been able to harness whatever it is that makes a truely great, consistent, powerful and relentless winning machine of a sporting club. The Melbourne Storm are simply incredible and must sit alongside that basketball team in the west called the Wildcats whom haven't missed a finals campaing for 35 years or something with a stack of cups to show. Cats, Hawks now Tigers have shined through with their mini dynastys while we still procrastinate, piss fart around pretend to know what we're doing. My dream is for Collingwood to become such a successful club (as it is for all of us) but it seems beyond our comprehension. Go the Storm! I think they will do it this year, they look determined.....but, don't they always! _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Yes they were stripped of points, caught cheating and stripped of premierships. They were punished but does that mean you just ditch them. After all that they have rebuilt and come back and won premierships and now looking for a 3rd since their cap breaches. Some teams never recover from something like this. They are the best run club in the country and our neighbours, we could learn a thing or 2 from them. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

They played brilliantly last night. Craig is a magnificent coach -it doesn’t seem to matter how the playing personnel changes and how many all-time greats retire or leave, he still structures his team to find a way.
Also, Cameron Smith is just a remarkable leader. After 431 games, he can still dazzle with his exquisite skills or lay a try-saving tackle. His stop in the second half was one of the highlights of the season.
It is a pleasure to watch the Storm go about their work. They are probably not the best side in the competition this year - but they always play a style of game designed for success and they repeatedly step up in key moments.
Bellamy’s kindness after the game was also a very special thing to see. He actually went around and spoke to every Canberra player he could get to and looked to be having extended, genuine chats with them. Not just a pat on the back and a quick “Bad luck, mate” but genuine conversations. Moreover, you could see from the reactions of the Canberra players how much it mattered to them that Craig Bellamy had a good word for them after a bad thrashing at the end of a difficult season. If you played for the Storm, you’d want to run through brick walls for a bloke like that. |

Storm are a great team whom I have supported since their inception. Love them. However never supported their cheating regime under Brian Waldron. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Penrith won 17 in a row. Then they came up against Melbourne. Trainwreck!
Well done, Storm. |

No Storm supporter did.
It was a dark time but they took their whack and moved on.
The Storm have had champions like Smith, Cronk and Slater but it is their knack of taking other teams discards and turning them in to better players that has been a standout over the past couple of years.
Craig Bellamy has put in place a system that means anybody can step into the team and know their role - some do it better than others but everyone knows their place. And the Storm have a good team manager in Frank Ponissi, runs a tight ship and is a great person (also happens to be a neighbour).
Well done to the Boys in Purple and Papi on his BOG (a boy with a mullet and a dream) _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |
