Said he’s open to a move apparently. What would we get for him, and could he be used in a multi club deal for Cameron or another gun with draft picks?

Hopefully a pick in the 30's but it may be in the 40's or 50's.
Has a tank so that is what they maybe looking for.

I can see him being part of a bigger multi club deal.

If he can recapture 2019 form a second rounder would be a bargain for any club. Not sure he can though, quite a limited footballer imo.

He is the classic seller's market player in the sense that "we know he is flawed" but the greater footy community such as media (yes Sam Edmund said he has high disposal efficiency) and clubs like Freo and Essendon are sniffing.

Freo only have picks 10 and 28 in the draft with the latter maybe getting pushed back to mid 30's given all of the academy and father son bids. A pick 35 should get it done. Personally, as posted 6 weeks ago I'd flag the idea of doing a straight swap for Jessie Hogan.

I can hear the keyboard warriors coming for me on this one. However consider this:

Positives:

* trading an non-entity for a potential matchwinner
* we don't give up any valuable draft picks
* we off-load Phillips salary rumoured at $500,000
* Good placeholder for 2021 whilst new draftee develops
* Proven he can handle number 1 defender from opponents

Negatives:

* Time bomb who regularly detonates
* $700,000 contract in 2021 however could be spread over two years
* could be a cultural backstep
* imagine him and DeGoey during the off-season

He has turned into a player who runs 10km for 5 kicks and about 50m gained. Questionable whether many of those kicks are to advantage. Not worth keeping IMO

So if I don’t agree with your opinion, I’m a keyboard warrior ?

Reminder, you’re the same poster who started a thread “ time to make a stand and trade DeGoey “ and now you want to advocate a trade that includes Hogan coming to Collingwood.
By all means, put lines through as many Collingwood players as you want but given your earlier comments on DeGoey, you advocating Hogan to Collingwood doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

Oh and just one other negative - has anyone bothered to ask Phillips if he’s prepared to go to Freo yet ?
Having said that, please accept my apologies if Phillips has declared “ I want to move to the other side of the country to continue my footy career “

It was reported Phillips is open to a trade. Dunno if he has Perth in mind though!

Hogan? No bloody way, we don’t need more drama at the club.

A quip about keyboard warriors was just that. A quip, some levity etc... And yes, I'd still trade JDG if he doesn't accept $600,000 plus incentives and sound offers in the market place are there. My sentiment wasn't singularly based on his off-field discipline and to align it to my Hogan recruitment, well it's a bit more nuanced than that.

Phillips, Hoskin-Elliott and Thomas should all be encouraged to explore their options while Cox should be another if we can land an upgrade.

Was a good player, yes, but seemed to fall away a bit lately. Id like a straight swap with Weidemann of the Deees, it sucks having the Grandson of the great Murray there, hed be rapt if we could get his grandson back where he should be.
