After Reid's retirement, one would expect Dunn to follow suit.
In addition, I'd be moving the following players on:
Greenwood
Thomas
Mayne
Lynch
Scharenberg
Varcoe
Plus possibly:
Murphy
That's 9 players in total, which is about right imo. |

I would keep Murphy for another year. Broomhead? _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |

You're right. Murphy probably deserves another year, of hopefully injury free football.
But Broomhead has definitely played his last game for us. |

Expect Langdon to follow suit fairly soon. His knee will never recover to play football again
Beams is another one who is likely to go as well (opinion only not inside knowledge) |

Even if Beams was in the right headspace for football age is against him now. But from that list ...
I would atca push keep:
Scharenberg
Greenwood

Murphy has the capacity to be a 200-game player if he can get a clear run at it. The others are all done. |

All of these apart from Beams and Langdon are currently out of contract, I believe:
Likely/confirmed retirements:
Dayne Beams
Lynden Dunn
Tom Langdon
Ben Reid
Travis Varcoe
Likely delistings:
Tim Broomhead
Possible additional delistings (but might be worth keeping for another season or more if we have space on the list):
Flynn Appleby
Levi Greenwood
Max Lynch
Matt Scharenberg
Anton Tohill
Rupert Wills
------------------
Would definitely keep (of those mentioned above):
Chris Mayne (amazed anyone would suggest otherwise; contracted until 2021, at any rate)
Nathan Murphy (hasn't had much of a chance yet due to injury, but looks like he'll be good; contracted until 2022)
Josh Thomas (had an average year, but I think he still offers something; contracted until 2021) _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I more or less agree with your list David except that I would keep Greenwood (He's the only tagger we have and he is a better tagger than almost anyone in the AFL) and I would delist Josh Thomas who has actually had two average years and whose presence in the team stops the development of other younger small forwards. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

Yes, we could have up too 12 gone from our list, which is a huge turnover, for sure. A new era dawns, i can see us being a much younger team next season, playing many kids, like Kelly, Ruscoe, IQ, Browns are still young, Daicos, his bro soon, top up with some canny drafting, and i think our future looks pretty darn good. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I disagree. Greenwood is always turning the ball over, panic kicks going no where. And while Thomas can be hot/cold, when he is having a good game I love his attack on the ball, his passing is good, and he can hit the scoreboard. _________________ Manassa is on the 50m, fakes the handball. Josh Thomas has 4 goals from 12 games in 2020 at an average of 0.25 goals per game. |
