I think he will hold value to other clubs that want his run, and can hide his lack of disposal skill. |
Problem is his value is going to be near nill. Would be lucky to get a late 2nd rounder for him. _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |

Talk of trading Darcy Moore is ludicrous.
We finally have a tall key position defender that's AA and theres talk about trading him. Who can be F'd going on a hunt to find another one? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

As stated at the top of this topic.
An impasse over the contract, in particular the length.
If there is no signing then he will be traded.
The length of the contract is of all importance.
We signed Grundy on a long term contract.
What happens if his form of late becomes the norm going forward?
What happens if Moore develops long term soft tissue problem re Reid?
Get it wrong and the Club is doomed to not win a flag.

We would be crazy to trade Moore. He is our best defender in nearly 40 years (since Billy Picken). De Goey is also an exceptional player. If you can control his behaviour off the field, he is a match winner.
Mihocek is only a year younger than Ben Brown and 8cm shorter. There is a case for trading Checkers for Brown although we would probably have to throw in a 3rd or 4th round pick. Brown is sort of one of our own anyway given that he is Charly Manson's nephew.
On the other hand if we are going to have two very tall forwards than we need some little blokes to feed off them and it would be silly to trade Stephenson. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

I think more importantly the judgements made prior to making decisions about players has to be spot on. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

I simply cannot believe that anyone would consider trading Stephenson after one poor season given all that has gone before him this year. I would prefer that we seek to assist him to rediscover his magic. No-one on this board knows him other than as player. No-one knows what is going on if anything. Trite as it maybe "you never know what you have until it's gone". _________________ Believer |

Agree totally. Would not even think for a millisecond about trading Stepho. Absolute idiocy to think otherwise. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Why wouldn't you trade Stevo.
Looks totally fragile at the moment.
Get a decent trade then go for it. |

You would not trade him because his first year showed what his capabilities are...and therefore, you have that knowledge.
He is also very young.
You keep him, because he has already proved himself, and he is still so young. Pretty simple. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
