There will be some sort of tribute to Dean Jones during the tea break of the Boxing Day Test.

Oh; I was hoping they were going to tie John Benaud up to a crucifix and set fire to it.

Since the dog did the same thing with Jones' career.

"And while Deano had died still squabbling with Cricket Victoria, the organisation announced on Saturday that his name would be reinstated to the state's one-day player of the year, an award from which Jones requested his name be removed. The move to bring back the Jones designation came following discussions with his family. Life really is too short for such spats."

In other sad news...

Former New Zealand batsman John Reid dies aged 64

I assume Jones and Reid must have played against each other a lot...

My memory says about three decades ago, in at least one Oz vs. NZ ODI, there were four pairs of duplicate names (only one pair related). Two Waughs, two Reids, two Joneses,...

Who was the fourth pair (IIRC)?? Oh... Of course... The Crowes. Shocked (So two pairs of brothers, not one.)

I can't even remember the first name of the other Jones. Andrew?

Also two of the Ranatunga brothers played for Sri Lanka very early on but only one ended up being well known.
