Can not see pies winning this one we buggered it up we should have been playing st.kilda at the gabba now we have to travel again to perth.

West Coast by 31 points.

Be a tight first quarter then the west coast will run away with the match.

Scores
West coast 70
Collingwood 39

Collingwood will again be wastefull and keep kicking points and eagles will be the ones kicking the goals.

Pies will only kick 2 goals after half time.

but will kick the first 3 of the match before eagles kick 4 in a row and have a 6 point lead at quarter time.

half time eagles 16
3 quarter time eagles 23

We’ve got a week at Joondalup to reinvent our game plan and save our season.
Do nothing and we lose, it’s as simple as that.

If I was coach:

Checkers swaps with Moore
Cox takes the centre bounce
Jordon in the middle
Stepho sits in the goal square
Sier to replace Varcoe
Treloar banned from handballing

Chaos style FOOTball!!!

I hope Maynard runs through him at the first opportunity and busts the guys ribs. That would be a more than adequate payback for his snipe in 2018GF.

,As others have mentioned, I like the idea of trying out Cox at the centre bounce and see what happens against Natunui. It is pretty clear that the Eagles know exactly what to expect when Grundy takes the centre bounce, and benefit from his tap outs more than we do. Let's see if Nic Nat can dominate in the same way aganst Cox' height. . Grundy to ruck the clearances around the ground. Stephenson to play full forward, and rotate with WHE, JDG, Ruscoe, Elliott, to create that unpredictability we used to have.
My changes would be:
Out: Tay Brown, In: Sier
Out: Varcoe: In: Ruscoe
Out: Greenwood In: Mayne
I don't think you can radically change your structures in only one and a half weeks. However, we do know what the Eagles will do: they will pressure us massively, and try to dominate the air. We know that the strategy of trying to separate their defenders with Cox taking one away seems to be ineffective against them. We know that us bombing the ball into F50 will be a recipe for disaster. So our changes need to be all about ball movement, and kicking vs handball. The focus must be on kicking the ball forward when pressured, rather than handballing. To have a chance of winning this game, our delivery as everyone knows has to be improve. I think this is a confidence issue: on occasions our delivery can be of a high standard. Our forwards will need to be on the move constantly against Wc's defence, and our mids have to be focussed on kicking the ball forward to a target, with low level trajectory unless we have a tall in a one on one or we can kick to advantage. Thoughtless bombing has to be outlawed.
JDG will no doubt have to spend time in the centre to take on WC mids, but that can be varied throughout the game.
We also have to be brave. If we are constantly safe and cautious, we won't have any chance. Not sure that we can win anyway, but taking risks with our ball movment is the only way to give ourselves a chance.

So they didn't allow you make a booking for two weeks' time?

Maybe you should get it done by Steele.

That is unusually peaceful, Dyso. Have you been smoking pot?

I really like your thinking MTTM, especially points highlighted above.

No dropping of Levi for me though, as he is such a powerful tackler and a fearless competitor. I'd love to see Mayney back in, but would just prefer Levi with his match fitness. Not a great difference between the two though.

Certainly agree with other personnel changes!!!

IF amd i say IF, we go down by a few points, in a very close game, i wonder how Sidey will feel, watching it live on TV, back here, sitting on his lazy arse, while his team mates could well have used him ? Surprised
