Nadal seals the set with an ace.

6-0.

He's been shaky in the lead-up and had conditions against him all tournament, so that will be a huge boost to him.

Rafa coughs up his first double fault and gets a time violation but serves out the set.

6-2.

Rafa leads 2 sets to 0.

A very good match for him so far.

And Rafa wins the French Open with an ace!

He sinks to his knees and signals an AFL goal in celebration.

He had more unforced errors in the third set than in the first two combined, but overall it was a supreme performance, with so many things against him in the lead up.

Rafa mentions the COVID crisis in his speech.

He hopes that the new Roland Garros court can have a full house next year.

Another thing: it felt like madness that they don't use HawkEye... unless HawkEye is actually less reliable than arguing about clay marks.

And it seems crazy that the Grand Slams all have different sets of rules for finishing a five-set match. Shocked

Yep, four Grand Slams, four different rules.
