With that comprehensive … er, thrilling … um, with that win over the might of the Gold Coast Suns, Collingwood waltz into the finals with the elegance and surety of a one-legged tap dancer.

What else does 2020 have in store for the Pies?

Despite all the hardship, despite the pain, despite the (gasp) injuries, can we snatch an improbable flag?

Well, given the might of our victory over the Suns, guess what Sly and Spook think!

Also, get ready for a look at the big stories that are rocking the AFL, such as the night grand final in Brisbane, the cultural problem at Richmond, and more.

All on The Rant!

Always interesting but cannot agree with some of your commentary.

Cox was way out of form - he was on a long term recovery from serious eye injuries - brilliant that he is now right

Separately, this is the same for Treloar. If you listened to his post match interview he is feeling the best he has since before he injured himself against Carlton in 2018.

Agree with you though that the small forwards, which were our strength in a way, are now our weak point. JT and Stevo have only played one good game each.

Agree that Grundy is 70% of what he was last year.

I think that players are more up and down this year due to the condensed nature of the season and we saw that with Adams and Pendlebury who struggled.

Still, this year Daicos, Quaynor, Madgen, Moore, Maynard have improved. Kelly looks promising if he can get a run at it.

T Brown looks ok but C Brown agree, he has dropped away.

Howe has been a massive loss as he was in career best form. Also, Langdon is a huge loss and his career looks at the crossroads. Agree that Scharenberg should be delisted.

One final point - 2013 draft Scharenberg and Freeman - if we get just one of those picks right then we would have won a premiership. Catastrophic draft for the Pies.

Thanks, DT.

With Treloar, they've constantly allowed him to get trapped on the inside. Even if his body hasn't been entirely right, that's how they're designating using him.

Buckley openly criticised Cox early in the year, and said he wasn't playing the role they required of him. The eye injury information only came out recently.

Collingwood's history is replete with "if". If only this had happened. Or if only that had happened.

Last year, a lot of the players were also up and down, as was our form.

The Covid thing might be a contributor, but it's only exacerbating what's already been happening.
