Good win. Jack Crisp saved our ass in the third quarter.

Reckon he was awful today

I love the bloke, but just for the record you're not going mad — he had a Barry Crocker for most of the day.

Adams and Daics had the big third quarters. Daics' balance and kicking are a joy to behold; you just know he's going to put it to advantage. Great first half from Jamie on the ball, and massive game from Tyler Brown at stoppages and under packs against tough mids. He's the support Adams needed. I reckon we saw something quietly special from the lad today.

The big American just needed a couple of games. Showing good signs following his fourth quarter last week.

Still too many players in there below grade who inevitably turn it over, but that win is something to work with.

I was worried going into this game. Our form has been average while the scum were up and about, and the way the game was being built up, we just had to win if we were going to cement our spot in the 8 and play finals. First half was ugly and it didn't help that we kept making decision and skill errors that often resulted in turnovers.

Our pressure was excellent and in the second half we lifted a notch and took it to the next level. I also suspect the scum thought they were a shoe in for today given the hype surrounding them, so it was nice for us to shut them up and put them back in their hole. Our fwd line functioned better this week than it has in previous weeks while our mids fought and scrapped their way through four qtrs. To keep a team goalless for a half is impressive so our defense deserves a lot of credit.

Still a lot of work to do though. Decision making is questionable at times. Seems to be an intent to go sideways or backwards all the time instead of finding a better option up forward. We need to do away with the hot potato handball and short kicks. They inevitably miss their target and pressure the team into making rushed decisions that always result in turnovers. This is the sort of win that can inspire. No excuses next week. The key now is to just keep building on our winning form.

Carlton's resurgence is the biggest Fake News in footy since North's 'Shinboner Spirit'

The courageous lead that Greenwood gave last week carried forward through Mayne's tackle on Cripps, Stephenson going back with the flight and the gut-running of Josh Thomas and Daicos.

Older Pies fans may agree that Darcy Moore is a cross between the brilliant Hawk Peter Knights and David Dench of the Roos- an excitement machine.

Maynard is Stan Magro reincarnated with his bow legs straightened out.

A brave win with Greenwood, Murphy, and, possibly Langdon in the mix for next Friday.

Out Cameron, Mayne
In: Murphy & Greenwood

highlight of the year for the year for sure.
Being able to produce wins after that
train wreck of a game against Melbourne
is the sign of a good side.
Getting back level on that heàd to head
record is huge for us supporters.
Bring on the lions!

Cox makes a big difference... straightens us up.
People forget that he had a serious eye injury last year.
His games in first part of the year was played in the soaking wet.
Cameron did very little mason a lot more.
Gee, I thought IQ and Noble were great.
IQ may be better than Harry.
Coming off such a bad injury and he played great.
Gee I would like to see Moore up forward for a few games.
Just to see what he could do.

Cox was pretty good. I hope he can gain some confidence and belief from that performance.
Quaynor will be a wonderful player. We are immediately a better team when he plays. His ball use and run and carry is so important.
He will learn plenty from his time on Betts.

Noble is a huge improver from his first few games. There’s a few on here who bag Hine unmercifully but that’s a great pick up late in a mid season draft.

Tyler Brown will be next. He’s still a kid playing a mans game. Some of his smarts and ball use today was way ahead of the development curve for a late pick.

JT looks a 1000% better when crumbing to the feet of Cox, there is a level of understanding there that I certainly didn't realise until today.

Been calling for the Tyler to get a run for weeks and you can see why, thought Callum did OK as well, should keep playing both of them.

Cameron, had a pretty quiet one...I'd be inclined to leave him out next week.

Never should have dropped Cox, looked better as the game progressed and we may well rue not playing him earlier in the season....I'm thinking the Dockers game at least.

Daicos is just dead set exciting, great to watch.

Shame about Mayne, hope he is OK...but TBH he never should have been out there, other preferred.

Grundy was massive, cant believe the crap he was copping in the game thread
