No Sidebottom.
No Howe.
No de Goey.
No Treloar.
No form.
No problem!
Sucks being Carlton.
Just the win our season and supporters needed.
Thank you. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Lots of good players in the 2nd half.
Look up "maturing" in your Funk and Wagnells - there'll be a photo of Joshua Daicos. _________________ kymbo |

Solid 2nd half. Still the overuse by hand is a big concern. Once the chain gets to 3 we turn it over 80% of the time. Plus the numerous number of handballs at players shoelaces.
We have all documented our forward line woes but this won’t be a quick fix. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Always good to beat the scum. Adams has become our best player, by a long way!! _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Great result. Beating Carlton makes this season worth while. Whatever happens for the rest of the season doesn't matter. |

Reckon he was awful today |
He was nothing short of brilliant. Most disposals on the ground. He and Moore slaughtered the opposition. |
Maynard was brilliant, Noble and IQ both very very good. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Fantastic win that was won on the back of the grunt and tenacity of Adams and Maynard.
As much as I’ve been critical of Cox, he and Stephenson are the combination that helps our forward line immensely. One without the other doesn’t seem to work.
T Brown was very good and Daicos has been progressing in the right direction. Maybe it’s time to see what Murphy can offer with Mayne no doubt to miss the next game.
IQ was very good and his dash from half back is complementing Crisps dash and carry. _________________ - Side By Side - |

Liked daicos’ game. He just never wastes it, he’s balanced and apart from pendles is our most composed player |

Boy are Carlton overrated. Given the way they were talked up during the week I expected them to be better. They've got a long way to go. _________________ The beatings will continue until moral improves. |

Got to say I was very nervous about this one, all game I was clenching the buttocks, just thought their run would get us but we did a fantastic job of cutting their ball movement in the second half, it was the key to victory. I think the Blueboys may have also came out after half time thinking they had us where they wanted us, as some said in the match day a few were laughing and smiling etc.
Right now I feel the happiest I have felt since lockdown #1. The Pies gave me the BEST win I could have hoped for this season. This was the one we all wanted, to get back to 127 wins each, square on the all time ledger was just so important. Maybe not so much to the new Pies fans, but anyone over 40 has been counting down the wins to this moment. What a relief! Thank you lads! Plus, the commentary highlighted that we have won 20 of the last 24 matches against them, they must be fuming over this stat. EAD scumbags!
Still a lot of improvement to come and maybe we won't get there this season, but I would love us to somehow get everyone back in time for an Elimination Final and just see what happens. You never know. As long as the will to win is there, get the bodies fresh and the best 22 back in anything is possible. I am not quite ready to give the season away.
Without being too dramatic I am rating this a Top 10 home and away victory of the last 20 years, since the turn of the century, it was a massive balls to the wall effort. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.
