Doesn't mean he can't be a meaningful contributor at the club or elsewhere but it's highly unlikely he ever replicates what he did in the '18 Prelim.
I think we need to pump games into Cameron as we're doing now. He's shown enough glimpses in the past month to continue persisting with him. |
Cox's best ganes were actually determined by the best days of our midfield and ball movement. When both of these fell of the cliff, so did he.
Cameron has actually been our best improver this year, according to Champion Data.
Indeed, his marking and his goal kicking has been top class, despite both our woeful ball movement and lack of inside mids.
But I am not sure Cox's best days are behind him. A team with a balanced, functional midfield would clearly have reason to test him out, but as others have said, for a far lower salary than we are currently payin. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

If Cox isn't selected this week, May and Lever will simply do as they please, grinning like the Cheshire Cat at their ease of uncontested marks inside our F50.
And thus the heat on Buckley will go up to Kelvin levels... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Only if we stupidly bomb it long into our forward line. Instead, we should lower our eyes and aim at Billy Elliott's chest. Do that, and Lever and May will be left for dead. |

And you will think we will suddenly cease and desist on this practice after it has been our Modus Operandi all season?

Melbourne will be smart enough to park a player in Elliott's leading path.
He won't have the space to move that Crows allowed him.
It would be unwise to expect him to reproduce that goal haul again.
We need Cox firing if the ball must go over Elliott's head... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Yeah looking forward to the game Monday for sure mate.
Can't see us causing an upset, just want intelligent team selection firstly, then an accountable performance, for dare I say - an honourable loss?
but hey - I also like surprises! _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

this is apparently a very polarising topic
so my 2 cents worth
1/. Cox would thrive in a good team, and if he ends up in another team. I reckon Richmond will come sniffing here.
2/ Cameron will never ever be a 'proper' key forward. |

So anyone care to mention Cox's stats in the reserves?
What are they one goal a match?
Could be a reason he is not playing _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

Genuine injuries aside, you can't tell me that Cox isn't more deserving of a senior game than our ruckman on the weekend. If Cox is not performing in the magoos there is a reason for it. Most likely the reason is that he knows that he will not be here next year, either by the club's choice or his. With his American sports background he knows that it is common there to sit out the remainder of a season, so as to avoid injury, in that scenario. _________________ I’ve tried to be fair to you creatures, but now my patience has reached its end. |

I thought Kelvin made fridges... | Kelvin is a measure of temperature, mainly used for scientific temperature measurement. Absolute zero is measured in kelvin 273.15 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature in kelvin is 10to32 K. Hence the temperature will rise greatly on Buckley. |

Spot on. Cox is only 30, any club in finals without a decent 1st ruck would snap him up in a heart beat. His ruck stats are roughly the same as Grundy, but he's actually a better tap ruckman and better key forward than either Grundy or Cameron.
Unfortunately I think his time is up with us, so trade him to a club where he has a chance to win a flag. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

my 3 cents worth is that Cox is not worth ~$500k-600k and he is not a forward, a target maybe, a forward no. You cannot build a team around or with Cox as this target will not apply forward pressure as is required.
As a Ruckman and Forward at another club, I say good luck.
We thank him for 1 great game. _________________ COLLINGW09D |
