Stevo & next years 1st round for North's pick 2?

I'm dreaming but not the worst scenario

So you want to trade Stevo and the no1 draft pick for pick no2?

That’s absurd for our best young talent

Are you insinuating that we'll finish last next year?

We don't need next year's first draft pick as Nick Daicos is reportedly the no. 1 draft pick. We can get him with points

So we’re trying to move on two of our more dynamic players, in return for ... nothing.

2021 looms as one of the more painfully vanilla seasons in recent memory. And that’s saying something since Beige Bucks took the reigns.

I'm in a highly agitated state at the moment, and no trades have happened...

If I see a fire sale in the hours to follow... it won't be pretty, I'll tell you....

It all smacks of a total f&ck up of our list mismanagement.

Apart from the salary mess we now find ourselves in, too many of our key draft choices and trades for many years have been failures:

Scharenberg - fail
Freeman - fail
Wells - fail
Mayne - fail (an OK player, but not worth $500,000 pa)
Beams - fail
Aish - fail (edit - thanks for reminding me)
Treloar - fail (given we paid 2 1st round draft picks for him and are now going to keep paying around $400,000 of his salary for another 5 yrs)
Stephenson - fail (if we are now off-loading him).

No wonder we can't win a flag, when we are clearly so amateurish in our list management.

On the bright side the club has scrapped the members forum it usually holds at the end of the year and next year's AGM will be a virtual meeting with member's questions screened before the meeting.

You left out Aish which cost us two second round draft picks who we get to see starring for Freemantle for the next 10 years.

Hope they have plenty of tea, coffee and bikkies; it's going to go a while...

We could have taken Aish pick before Scharenberg, which would have given him two years to settle into a spot, on a less competitive list.
Thanks to Hines' ineptitude, we totally hemorrhaged in the years to follow over this, trying to retro-fix his f&ck up with slaughtered picks to Brisbane.

Not to mention this numpty also missed on Cripps in same draft, which ultimately cost us 2018 premiership

And you all wonder why I despise Hine....

If? What else do you call the Stevo/Atu trade rather than a fire sale? They have probably cleared enough cap space for one year anyway, so wouldn't expect another trade, unless we are in more strife than suspected.....time will tell
