I don't think that is a bad idea. Gault has a couple of years in him and might be a good cheap backup. If he fits in well at the club he might be handy.

Team wins 5 games & he can’t get a crack. Is that the player you want? |

Treloar for Pick 14
Stevo for Pick 11
Phillips for 3rd round pick.
Let's be totally honest - did any of the above players make us a better team this season? All three were in and out of the side for various reasons. If we can snare 2 first round picks, plus 3rd rounder, then we are in good shape to get to the pointy end of the draft. |
Treloar made us a better this year
Stephenson had glandular fever and made us better in some games this year and is always dangerous
Phillips we can do without.
That would be a disastrous trade in my view where the buying clubs would be doing a lot better |
True - this could work out to be a disaster.
I am not convinced Stevo can hit the same levels as 2018. Treloar has dropped his efficiency also. |

has the Jye Caldwell trade gone through yet?
Would love to steal him under Essendons nose. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I reckon u might be underselling Stephenson: he’s nowhere near a players peak as he was only a teenager in 2018. If they are trying to sell Stevo because off attitude issues then that points to coaching deficits. Trade the coach 😉
I’d like to know who is responsible for this unholy mess. It’s just appalling. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Forget about targets - we are struggling to keep the players currently on our list. |

Oh dear another potential last day that we go to market and buy nothing
Last year same. Wonder are they going to pull something off as last year
we got Cameron and that’s nothing against the guy just that there were
more choices. $$$$ again i feat _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Need to wait and see what goes down, at this point we are trying to trade our 1st round pick next year, currently have a late 1st rounders and if we trade Treloar and Stephenson would get another 2 1st round picks.
So the question is what are they planning?
Is it to get low enough in the draft to score a KP forward?
Are they still trying to pry Gunston free?
There is not a lot of quality forwards so very limited options besides Gunston, so might be the draft for a forward but still going to be chasing someone with a few 1st round picks when most of our best players (Pendlebury, Howe, Sidebottom, Roughead, Mayne and then the next lot in the late 20’s need to top up and have a crack at a flag I think if Beams wasn’t a failed prospect could have all gone very differently) have a 2 or 3 year window left so topping up for a flag risk certainly outweighs doing nothing and bringing in kids that could potentially in a couple years be a player we need. |

Interesting but I can’t see why Carlton would trade a player taken at pick 10 and playing every week?
I mean what would you have to give because 1 first rounder for one that is already working for them won’t be enough
So what is the cost for him? |

They want to stay, but we apparently can't afford to keep them. Not happy Jan. |

Looks like Today Trading is Over and Sets up a Big Final Day of Trade Period.
So how does the Final Day Work? _________________ I am Da Man |
