I think it all depends on what it costs us. He's kicked over 60 goals in each of the past three seasons. We're desperate for a FF. Almost 28 but hardly missed a game since the start of his second year.
He is playing in a rubbish team right now, but I do feel like he's dropped off this year too. I can't see us being to get anyone else and he does fill the spot while Kelly gets more experience. But I doubt we'd be willing or be able to give him 800,000 as was earlier mentioned. Demons apparently keen too.
When compared to Cox, BB cannot do any ruck work and probably cannot play outside the fwd line. But BB's accuracy in front of goal is much better. Is he a great contested mark, or does he prefer to take them one out?
Either way, lets keep an eye on him and see how he goes for the rest of the year. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Well if he still can, then that's an extra tick for him. He's almost 2 years younger than Cox.
I guess we need to ask ourselves if we're happy with the current set up and proceed with Cox; if we need to address any other positions other than FF; if there's any other players we can attract; and if BB is the best/realistic option if we're going to focus on making a change up forward. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Brown is a poor contested mark but it doesn’t help when your own teammates, Larkey and Wood are always flying against you.
What Brown does well, is take the ball at the highest point when he’s out in front. If he goes to a club that’s prepared to give him room to lead into, he would most likely find his 60 goals a year form once again. The bigger grounds would suit him perfectly.
I believe he’s also a restricted free agent, so because there is no trade required, he will attract plenty of interest.
If we were to keep both Moore and DeGoey, I couldn’t see us fitting him under our cap ( despite the ever evolving fire sale of spuds we always put together ) |

Are Port looking to trade out Oliver Wines? That's interesting. Essendon the obvious fit. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

With the way the game is being played these days is there any point in paying big bucks for a tall forward? None of them seem to kick big bags of goals anymore. |

That's because they are all second-rate (according to Leigh Matthews). |

When we were first interested in him, it was for the "Leigh Brown" role. He turned down an offer of a rookie spot and rucked in the VFL. |

I think Jeremy Cameron is hopelessly optimistic as an option to target. He's happy where he is and is already on $1m a season, which we can't afford. He also puts in lots of lacklustre efforts on the field.
Ben Brown would still command high coin that we realistically can't afford.
I'd prefer Levi Casboult as a marking target alongside Brody Mihocek.
He's more affordable, has straightened out his kicking considerably. I don't think we need a star key forward and a fragile one at that with the mix of talent we have. Just someone that can provide a marking target for us and fit into our structure alongside DeGoey, Stephenson, Elliott, WHE.
We have all the tools we need otherwise. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Not a chance. I can't stand his ridiculous long run. Plus he's as weak as ****. |
