Plus our five new recycled recruits. Hill, McStay, Frampton, Mitchell and Markov. |

What the above has proven is just what a perfect masterstroke our list management produced by having all five of those recycled players be good enough to be part of a premiership team ( obviously McStay would have played baring injury ) it’s not often you will see a club bring in five recycled players in one off season, let alone prove to be good enough to ALL play in a premiership their first year at that club. Then add that one of those players was the Norm Smith medallist and that simply rounds out a perfect score for our list management team. |

Still on trivia, I’m looking for confirmation on the below because it’s coming second hand.
I have a mate who played golf the other day with a former Collingwood player who claimed he was the player to kick the last goal in the last ever AFL game at Vic Park in 1999.
Any takers ?? |

I remember being there and it was a grim day against Brisbane! Without looking I couldn't say, I just remember Rocca kicking a few and knowing Brown's career was probably done. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

Shouldn't be too hard to narrow down to whoever was on the list and actually getting a game towards the end of the Tony Shaw era (and resist my urge to look at AFL Tables!). As a random guess, let's say Stephen Patterson. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Frankie Raso? My recall of who was in the team that day has diminished. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

One of the Scott’s? Scott Crow or Scott Burns? _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |

Very good Lazza !
My mate was golfing with Scott Crow and Crow declared that’s his only claim to fame as an AFL footballer. I can only go by what I was told but it was his last season at Collingwood and he did play mainly between the arcs after he arrived from Hawthorn. |

Looks like afltables doesn't list the score timeline.
Does tell us the Pies goalkickers were
A. Rocca 3, Burns 2, Tarrant 1, Brown 1, Scott Crow 1.
Guess who kicked 4 goals for Brissy!!
(Besides Alastair Lynch...)
Hint: Might make ya ...

I checked the footage and he's telling the truth, in the sense that he kicked our last goal of the day. Luke Power kicked the last goal for Brisbane soon after.
See from 2:20:00 in the video below, if you can bear to watch any of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFA9Di1kusk
Not sure if he realises, but Scott Crow also appears to have separately had our last kick*, received our last free kick and given away our last free kick of the day – I'd be spreading that anecdote around too if I were him! (Watch from 2:23:55 onwards if you don't believe me.)
*Mal Michael had the ball in his hands at the end, but clearly kicked it after the siren sounded. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace
