So we really need to see what the Kids have got,

I like to see:

- Kelly
- Rantall
- Quyanor
- Murphy
- Keane
- Nobel

Hopefully Bianco can find some Form and get a Game too.

Not Going Forwards with Players like:

- Reid
- Varcoe
- Cox
- Mayne
- Phillips
- Elliot

Dave, I was thinking the same thing.
Obviously you can’t gift them games and it’s still too early to be seen as “ experimenting with the future “ but this years unique circumstances will make it extremely difficult for any Vic team to go all the way.

Within our own club, the difference this year, is that there seems to be a couple automatic selections who simply can’t get near it, so replacing them with a kid doesn’t seem like taking a step back.

You got to get games into them if they’re any good but you can’t smash their bodies or ruin their confidence either. It’s a juggling act but you would think the ones that have had a taste before and shown a bit, would be first cab off the rank ( Quaynor and Murphy)

Reid and Varcoe should have retired, or been de-listed for sure.

This season should be seen as an extended preparation bonus to get our team ready for 2021. If by some miracle we fall into the finals and a GF, so be it, but this squad has failed. Teams that lose a grand final, do it again and essentially lose another (prelim loss by under a kick), never have the desire to do it all again just to fall short. You can clearly see the desire ain’t there. Has their year’s COVID-19 shot got a role to play? Possibly. But FMD, the same players continue to fail week after week: WHE, Elliott (who was my favourite player), Wills, Phillips, Mayne. Enough’s enough. Buckley is clutching to some miracle that ain’t gonna happen.

Sier needs to come into the team as well. Has more tricks than Wills and we need more grunt at the coalface

Too early to put a line through this season. We did that in 2018 and 19.

I would like us to rethink the fwd line. If Cox is not the future (and neither is Cameron from what I’ve seen) get Will Kelly in there.

And drop Wills. He can’t kick it, we need to move the call quickly and he just adds to the handball mess.

Dave, they must have heard you.
Although I don’t think any of us saw Atu’s debut coming anytime soon.

They were also all promising debuts, so if players like Thomas, Noble, etc want to win their spots back, then they need to lift their game.
Within a balanced list profile, there is nothing better than the kids putting pressure on the seniors for a spot.

I love playing more kids, brings great enthusiasm and legs speed into the team, but i did think Varks did pretty well last night,he was very competitive.
