Congrats to both players.
Atu provides some much needed run and dash. I think he's going to become a cult figure among supporters.
Kelly is very raw, but did look good at every contest. Wish him a speedy recovery with his injury. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Atu smashed my expectations.
Looked like he had glue on his hands such was his clean ball handling.
Quaynor equally impressive whilst Kelly showed some great signs for the future. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I'm with you. Atu was fantastic.
I'm a regular VFL goer and was loving Kelly last year until they wrapped him up. Without being able to go to the practice games this year, it's been hard to get real information on players a part from the "he was good" from the assistant coach.
IQ had an interrupted pre season and then the big break between round 1 and 2. I'm glad he's back in the side and match fit. I guess Howe being out helped him get a chance, but he's been very close to the senior team when he's been fit. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

On Kelly:
Works hard, covers the ground well, took full advantage of his one golden opportunity to goal and it might have gone unnoticed by many but I really liked how he deliberately and deftly deflected the ball off his hand into the path of Grundy. That hints at a player with a high football IQ to me. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Congrats to both boys: Atu is a ripper: he stays on his feet, he is fast, strong and causes chaos. Kelly looks good, both are keepers.
I didn't realise IQ was picked. He is a ripper. Wow how good is it to have these bright talents.
I think Callum Brown on this years form will make way for Atu when Steele returns (if you know what I mean).
The Beams deal isn't looking quite so bad now _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

That pretty much describes Cox' best attribute as a footballer.
Kelly didn't look out of place, but he also looked like a first gamer. He'll hopefully improve because he's got the size for a KP forward. |

IQ is a player. Never in doubt.
Kelly actually laid a tackle that caused the turn over he ended up kicking a goal from. As a few have said, he looks smart and will grow into a tough footballer.
Atu- can’t believe how clean His hands are especially ground level. He also got some very dangerous spots as a half forward which is a tough position to play especially in the modern game. He surprised me the most and reminded me of Pendles debut. Kid could be exactly what we need. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

The Beams deal has nothing to do with Atu!
The Beams deal also has nothing to do with Kelly or IQ. |

IQ looked back home, Atu looked built for this. he's a mini wrecking ball with speed and serious 1 touch skills and Kelly clearly got more than his looks from his mum. Definite key forward potential in the same mold as Checkers. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Kelly apparently has a dislocated elbow and a fracture in the arm above the elbow.

Sorry for being pedantic, but Atu's surname is Bosenavulagi....not Bosenvulagi as suggested in the thread's title.
<Thanks for pointing this out – it's fixed now. David for BBMods.> |
