1. Jeremy Howe in an act of courage blew up his knee. He may be back for the finals but the chances are that his year is done. He was in great All-Australian form. He's very difficult to replace.

2.We lost to GWS. This was ridiculous. In the last quarter we had far more forward entries than they did but they kicked 2 goals and we kicked 1. We lost by 2 points. Someone once said back kicking is bad football.

3. Steele Sidebottom got drunk, broke Covid 19 rules, brought the club into disrepute and was suspended for 4 weeks. We can argue about the length of the penalty but why would such an elite footballer put himself into that position? His absence puts greater pressure on the other midfielders.

4. We got beaten by Essendon. ESSENDON, the team that couldn't beat Carlton. We played well in the first 15 minutes and for most of the last quarter. What about the rest of the match? This has happened before and even this year. What's going on?

5. Jordan De Goey is charged with indecent assault. This is potentially serious but the relevant event(s) occured 5 years ago when Jordy was 19. Why has it taken so long for charges to be brought? Will the stress of this affect Jordy? Here comes Caro!!!

All of this happened in the space of 8 days. What is happening to our club? Is it just bad luck?

Any other club but Collingwood I’d say that’s our black cat—-walking under a ladder or breaking a mirror

But as it’s us I doubt we have had our slice of bad luck either accidental or created
