The world's attention has largely been focussed on the corona virus with good reason. However not atypically, the Middle East from Asia Minor to North Africa is exploding:

24 hours of war in the Middle East leaves region shaking

"..The region is undergoing a half-dozen wars at the same time that pit Iran and its proxies against the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

A raid on Iranian-backed groups in Iraq, Houthi rebels in Yemen attacking Saudi Arabia, Russia and Turkey squaring off in Libya, the aftermath of airstrikes in Syria and Turkey and Iran coordinating attacks on Kurdish militants all served as a backdrop for an unprecedented 24-hours in the Middle East.

The region is undergoing a half-dozen wars at the same time that pit Iran and its proxies against the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia; and also Iran and Turkey against Kurdish militants; as well as proxy groups in Libya fighting each other and various Syrian groups fighting each other..."

https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/24-hours-of-war-in-the-middle-east-leaves-region-shaking-632909

This is not to mention many other conflicts and wars that are going on and continue unabated:

Lebanon
Syria
Israel
Gaza

Lebanon is going through some severe isues with respect to the economy (what's left of it), factions including Hezbollah and the Lebanese military.

Gawd, I need a holiday but I'm giving the Middle East a miss this year

There have been separate explosions / malfunctions to 3-4 different nuclear reactors in Iran in the last 1-2 weeks:

The most recent one is noted here:

The pollution of the Euphrates river which used to supply clean water to Iraq, Syria, Turkey and the Kurds:

Makes more sense than the US and Israel teaming up with Saudi Arabia, the home of wahabism (sp?).

Only if one doesn’t understand regional politics

It's the choosing of friends and enemies (Saudi Arabia over Iran) which is ridiculous.

Only ridiculous if one believes in purity or fantasy land and existence is not an issue.

Saudi is not trying to destroy Israel, Iran is. Not too difficult a proposition to get one’s head around.

tonights homework, how do we get China and the middle East to blow each other to smithereens without collateral damage to anyone else?

150 words or less, keep it tight and succinct and points deducted for emotive language. Lets go people, on my desk (this board) by 9:30am.
