Might be his greatest coaching effort:
1. Selecting Cameron
2. benching Grundy
3. Greenwood onto Kelly
4. Moving Mihocek late down back

Surely with 2 weeks quarantining requirements something could be worked out. Who would you drop? It was an even performance tonight |
I think Thomas could make way, probably permanently, after that last gilt-edged chance to win the game off his own boot was so completely fluffed. |

Could.......I’d drop him in a heartbeat. Anyway he will probably survive I could only see Varcoe as a replacement. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

I thought some individual players stood up very well.
The coaching, though, was just as dreadful as usual. West Coast beat us in all the places they usually beat us. We just got over the line this time because Scharenberg and Wills didn't cough up 8 of the first 10 opposition goals of the game between them. So, by implication, Greenwood on Kelly was much, much better than Wills on Kelly - but when a guy has a game high 29 disposals (including a game high 16 kicks), 6 clearances, 6 inside 50s, a game high 13 contested possessions, kicks a goal and gives off 3 goal assists in a match where your entire team manages 6 goals, you can't repeat that particular match-up can you, no matter how stubborn you are? |

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Yes again. What is the matter with you lately Pies4shaw??
We just had one of the greatest wins, against all the odds, in our recent history and you can't stop the criticism???? Why can't you give credit when it's due?
To even match it with Eagles under these circumstances was amazing, let alone to win it. Many of us thought Bucks and selection
committee had got it wrong by selecting Cameron, Bucks knew best by resting Grundy and putting a very serviceable player up against Nic Nat to wear him down a little. Plus, they took the risk of playing Stevo, on a wing and he played his part too.
Just find it hard to fathom your negativity. |

Regardless of tonight's result, Buckley was never going to be sacked especially in a year like this.
He's contracted until the end of next year. He's entitled to see out his contract and then we can reassess again when that time comes.
On tonight, I'm stoked for him and the whole club. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

And yet none of the above changes the fact that Buckley out coached Simpson - Cameron in the ruck and Cox permanently deep combined with fast ball movement were master strokes and regardless of your downramping.

Did he "out-coach" Simpson or were we just in front by a whisker at the end? |

Ahead at every break and turned the tables on the 10 goal smashing a few months ago - definitely out coached.
So suck it up sunshine. |

That’s proof we weren’t thrashed, this time. And that we didn’t put Scharenberg or Wills on the field. Is that “out-coaching” anyone? No, it’s just not shooting yourself in the foot, for a change. Like the decision to tag Kelly. Of course we had to tag Kelly - he slaughtered us last time. It wasn’t great coaching - it was obvious and necessary. What was great was the way Greenwood carried it out. |

Haven’t seen Wills in the team for a while now, did you think Buck’s was going to bring him in to play in Kelly? |

He totally suffocated him. I have not made any votes, but Greenwood should surely be one of the top 3. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

No doubt it was a great win. Pity he didn't out-coach Simpson after a 5 goal head start. I guess Simpson will go home and check that Cup and put everything into perspective.
We survive and hopefully we can do the job next week. _________________ COLLINGW09D |
