Ideally, we would want to keep both if it's possible. |
Would you be okay with Darcy's head on JdG's body? |

Other clubs will be in the same boat.
They would also have to deal with cutting players and operating with a smaller salary cap.
If they want to lure an opposing player, the extra will be relatively less. Making the lure less appealing.
But the bigger issue at the moment runs deeper... You apologize to cut staff and players and then go and pay overs to lure someone.? (Maybe Adelaide lol )
Some recruiters might smell an opportunity out of the chaos, I doubt it, but if they do, it won't be Degoer or Moore.
Besides, clubs are busy staying on their feet and holding the fort. I think a blockbuster trade would be their last priority this year. |

No because all you would have is two dead footballers. |

Exactly...as it's turned out, I think this year is a great year to have gun players out of contract - they won't be able to command much themselves, plus other clubs won't have enough to lure! _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

"... the 24-year-old match-winner..."
How many matches has he won for Collingwood? It's hard to think of any. |

^ Maybe that's why he isn't described as "matches winner"?
He did win a couple for us in 2018. He filleted St Kilda on his own, IIRC. There were probably other games that year, as well. |

I'll go Moore because elite tall players are more valuable and harder to come by than elite players of average height. |

5 goals and 3 Brownlow votes against Richmond, Rd 2, 2019
But I mean, that was a whole year ago... what have the Romans done for us lately? _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

Round 18 2017 vs West Coast (4 goals, 2 behinds) = Won by 8 points with him kicking 2 goals in the last quarter and laying a superb tackle in the dying stages which led to Elliott's match winning goal.
Round 9 2018 vs St Kilda (6 goals, 0 behinds) = Career high 6 goals as we won by 28 points.
Round 16 2018 vs Essendon (3 goals, 2 behinds) = Scored two crucial last quarter goals with us winning by 16 points.
Semi Final 2018 vs GWS (3 goals, 2 behinds) = 10 point victory. Scored a crucial goal on the half time siren.
Round 2 2019 vs Richmond (5 goals, 1 behind) = 44 point victory, with him playing a pivotal role in the match. Highly praised by the media after this match.
Round 17 2019 vs West Coast (2 goals, 2 behinds) = Scored the last goal of the game as we won by a point. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Trade JDG...we don't need more midfielders and he is shit as a goal kicker. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

JDG certainly isnt doing much this season so far to justify a big payrise. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

JDG is a myth. Try and turn him into a decent forward.. by trading him for Cameron. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

I feel "match winner" means you didn't just play well, but your team would have lost or at least been in real danger of losing without your game. Do those games where he beat up on no-name kids count by that definition?
Oh... wait... I wrote this before seeing Jezza's post. The answer might be there.
Round 18 2017 vs West Coast is probably a good candidate. Vs. St. Kilda probably not (just beating up a little kid). |
