Really? Considering it apparently cost him his professional gridiron career – quite apart from the courage it requires to publicly resist a patriotic ritual – I’d say it was a brave and principled demonstration of solidarity, and one that cost him greatly.

as for the AFL players, i said the same in the game day thread, what if one didnt do it? i didnt like it, i dont want politics in it, and i dont want them to have to choose.

Maybe it’s a team for the children of cops and the others are all smart enough to know that it’s a good idea to duck in the US if there are police around - you know the story: you might be white but they might miss when they’re shooting at the black girl next to you - that sort of thing. Who knows? |

probably a good idea to duck when armed citizens are around too, actually more important, they have bigger badder guns than the cops.

interesting, they are attorneys,

not a gun fan, but i dont blame them one bit for defending themselves,hopefully they will be ok
