Sunday too far away. A true classic.
And also, of course, the best Australian movie of all time, which I need not mention. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

I love 1970's movies, Wake in fright and The cars that ate Paris spring to mind.
They're a Weird Mob would be great to see again. As a really small child we lived at Bondi and my older brother witnessed some of the filming at the beach. |

Sorry, gotta do it:
I made a home movie with my wife once that I consider an Australian classic.
It did, however, only go for 17 seconds.
Many say that my wife's ability to act interested was worthy of an Oscar. |

Being able to feign interest for a full 17 seconds is a task far beyond many of the actors of today. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

We watched that when I was living in England! Found it for £1 in an op shop.

Haha!
Anybody seen Metal Skin? Not the best, but he does go for the Pies I think? (See a Pies jumper for a split second)
The Dish is a cracker too! And I enjoyed Dating the Enemy when I was a kid.
I'm loving watching these Aussie films at the moment. Will be watching The Nugget and although I much prefer the comedies, I'll watch both Storm Boy films in the next week or so. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I'm more your psychological thriller/ suspense / horror fan and even more so these days.
I faintly remember enjoying Dead Calm (1989) at the time of it's release.
Not sure how it holds up 30 odd years later.

I have plenty of Australian movies within that genre.
All female cast as well.
To be honest part of the appeal of Dead Calm if I recall correctly was the sex scene featuring a young Nicole Kidman.
Well before the internet arrived and prior to the day one had the courage to proceed to the counter of your local video store R rated VHS in hand it was about as good a piece of content a young teenager had to work with.
Teenage boys today have it so easy. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Seem to recall that was an aid at one time or another also.
Anyone remember that sex tv show hosted by Sophie Lee?
Christ she's 51 now.

Woah! Where the hell have you been??! Welcome back!
My fave Aussie film, especially to watch on a dreary rainy day, is The Man from Snowy River. Still get anxious watching them ride down the mountain. |
