From the Adelaide Sunday Mail - a nice piece from all of the captains to the fans - here is what the Collingwood skipper had to say :
SCOTT PENDLEBURY (COLLINGWOOD)
I came into the game in 2006, a football lifetime ago.
Very few things are now as they were then: the Sherrin, the Collingwood jumper, the Collingwood president and the deep and very public loyalty of the Magpie Army would be among the few constants.
Collingwood fans make noise. They are gold jacket boisterous and famous, or infamous, for the rowdy role they play in the theatre of our games.
They don’t just barrack, though. They belong. In a way that makes blood seem thin. You don’t meet casual Collingwood fans. There is an intensity to the experience of being a Collingwood person — player, member or fan — that isn’t easily understood by the uninitiated.
It is why, at Collingwood, the relationship between the coaches, players, staff, members and fans is clear — we depend on each other.
Long may we lean on one another. _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |
