Very likely as the MCG will only be available up until the first week of October before it gets handed over to the ICC for the 20/20 World Cup. Considering the dire situation facing the AFL financially doubt they would have enough available cash to convince the ICC to give up their claim on the ground. |
They are also considering Manuka if GWS make the top two if the season happens this year.

NSW is in lockdown for 3 months, according to the police commissioner. Assume Vic would be similar at least. So nothing will be happening until July, more like August at the earliest.

3 months lock down and then very tentative steps in re-opening, which means non essential domestic flights wont be back for 6 months, at best, I reckon.
Can't see how the AFL season can happen. |

My mail was wrong, Gill made a good decision for once!
Yeah we're looking at at least another 90 days of Stage 3. If community transmissions continue to rise in Victoria, we might go to Stage 4. Don't get your hopes up for footy. People aren't doing the right thing -- as soon as we go back to Stage 2 or even Stage 1, infections will spike again and we'll be back in the shithouse. |
