A vital round. Esp. for Victoria and Q'land.

If the Vics win and the Bulls lose, Victoria will move into second place on the ladder and Q'land would drop to 4th, behind Vic. and WA.

If both Victoria and Q'land lose, WA could move into second.

From the CA site.

"WA selectors have finally lost patience with Cameron Bancroft, who begun the summer as a surprise inclusion in the Test squad but has managed just 158 runs at 13.16 with a top score of 30 from 13 Shield innings this season"

Vic all out 292. Stumps.

NSW 195.
Tas 3/63.

The Shield batsmen sure do struggle. It's the Death of Batting. (Are they using Duke balls currently? I think so.)

Marnus, despite his golden duck, may be happy to be on international duty. Wink (He, of course, is averaging >160% of his Shield average in easy-peasy Tests on dead pitches designed to make the Tests last more than three days.)

Vic. All out 292. Worrall & Mennie took 4 wickets each.

Good to see Harper (62) back.

The selectors must really rate him, considering Gotch hit successive tons in rounds 7 & 8.

The diminutive 'keeper/batsman shared a 90 run 7th. wicket stand with Sids (40).
