Probably accepted less than other clubs were offering.

Onya, Jamie.

It's times like these that a hearty congrats also goes out to Ned Guy. It this modern day of trying to appease self-entitled millennials, our list manager has managed to see Jamie on 1 less year and approximately $750,000 less guaranteed money over the next 3 years.

Gives me confidence that we now can afford to move DeGoey to the midfield on a more regular basis

So glad to hear this. If Billy can get back to his best, (and stay injury free) he will be a huge help to our flag quest in 2020. Loyalty wins the day.

Fab news and let’s believe it’s just the beginning of good

See Lions apparently senced Billy really wanted to remain Black & White

The really good news about this, if true, is that Jamie has enough confidence in his body that he is prepared to become a free agent again at age 29 rather than force people to pay him extra now. He must feel like his body can hold up!!

He might be rewarded with a really good contract in two years time if this is true!

Good news only if it’s on our terms. One of Grundy, Moore, JDG or Stevo is really really at risk.

Gleeson on Jamie's Brissy visit:

"He toured the Brisbane Lions facilities on Saturday while on a trip to Queensland with a couple of teammates to visit his brother who lives at Airlie Beach.

The Lions were hopeful that Elliott’s brother living nearby might be have been an incentive for him to make the move north."

Great news

He was really good in the finals and adds a 'hard to match up' dimension to our forward line

Hopefully a fit JDG will now be able to play up the ground a bit more.
