Look im not sure if we can win it actually, but having said that, I just think If we can for once, for bloody once, have a fairly injury free season, win a few tough games against top Opposition, and other sides implode around us, and we finish top four, I don't see any reason why we cant go all the way. If we hit peak form a the pointy end of the season, as the Tigers did last yr, we can indeed go all the way,the bitter disappointment of last two yrs, may just be the tonic we need to indeed win our 16th Flag.

Thoughts ? Very Happy Surprised

I'd rather the Pies be admired for their on-field success rather than anything we do off-field.

I don't care about membership numbers, or the shit fight as to who is the biggest club in the land. Our yearly profit bores me as does the faux hysteria we create when announcing a new sponsor.

Personally I don't subscribe we are in need of a full rebuild, we just need to polish up our disposal, acquire some key position depth, find a touch of class on the outside and hope the coaching group, development staff and high performance management team improves on the output of previous years and we return to finals.

I'm tipping a Collingwood premiership in 2020.Wink

I'll stand by this prediction.

This is a popular catchphrase, but is anyone actually disagreeing, advocating the reverse, or is doing one somehow preventing the other? Just seems like stating the obvious - every supporter wants onfield success and another flag

Test transmission:

“I really, really want Collingwood to have a successful off-field and community involvement presence but be extremely poor in AFL games.”

It doesn’t really spin, does it?

That’s like saying I want the share price of BHP to be $100 but I don’t care about finding new iron ore deposits because drilling is mostly a waste of time

Premierships are generally won by clubs who have strong administrations, are profitable and can afford good facilities, good recruiting and player welfare, which leads to player retention, which leads to onfield success etc.

When are you changing your nick to Mr. Positive?

When the club gives us something to be positive about, so after Eddie retires and Bucks is sacked, might be waiting a while.

You’re a bad joke

He obviously thinks coming within a kick of winning both a GF, and last years PF mean nothing at all, bloody hell, I know of many, many saints, dees, north, port, crows, etc fans whod love that close record, with an exciting new season, coming up. Real fans are not like that. Rolling Eyes

Remember the last time we lost a GF then next year lost a PF? It was a downward spiral which saw the team show Buckley to be an incompetent coach.

Difference was at least last time we had won a premiership first, until Eddie destroyed it because he didn't want to lose Bucks to North.

This list is not a premiership winning list, there are too many holes and lack of genuine A grade talent. The fact the biggest star is a ruckman who is actually shit at the most basic of skills expected of a ruckman, taps, says a lot about this side.

I BET IF YOU LOST A TEN DOLLAR NOTE, then found a Hundred dollar note, u would still be a bloody misery guts, I bet u would. Confused Surprised

^ I'll take your $100 bet that we won't make the finals - what odds are you offering against this 'miracle' happening?
