]A bit more info with Kayo you will get the 7/7 mate feed with ads for channel 7 games even though you are watching through ch 504 foxtel feed before and after game but cuts over to 7 at bounce. Foxtel IQ is ad free.

However if you download and install Kodi and add the Kayo add on the genius NZ guy who wrote the app had the proper no add Foxtel feed and I just cast that to ATV or chrome cast
.

Would this apply only when channel 7 is broad-casting the game you're watching? Put it another way, if Foxtel is the only outlet broadcasting a game, do you still get Channel 7 ads?

If you watch a full game in 1080p then it chews up about 3GB of data.

Thanks for this Johnno.

another question which someone may be able to answer. I read on Foxsports that the Marsh Community series is being broadcast on Foxtel. I wonder if that means that Kayo would have it available too?

Is everything that available on 504 Foxtel automatically available on Kayo?

Many thanks to whoever may be able to answer these questions.

^Yes I believe so. Can't imagine that not being the case. They need filler on 504.

Yes, even if it isn't identified as an event, you can just stream the individual channels on Kayo - so you can select any of Beinsports 1, 2 and 3, espn and espn2 and Fox 501, 502, 503, 504, 505. 506, More+ and Fox Sports News and Racing.com. That said, I see from looking at Fox 504 that it shows a message saying that you can watch the game that's on that channel but due to rights restrictions you have to watch it in the "Today on Kayo" section, rather than on the channel. That's a message I have seen occasionally for some things but not for many.

It’s only with Ch7 games, Foxtel exclusive games are ad free via Kayo. Like I said download and watch via kodi and all 9 games are ad free

Only stuff on fox sports not available to Kayo is the Euro sport content/ channel.

I have foxtel... I only watch AFL, NBA... and that's about it. My hockey team is rarely on foxtel.

I think switching to Kayo makes sense.

Foxtel is $58 a month compared to.... $25 a month?

Kayo here - was on foxtel but like you; overpriced. Only downside to kayo is that
- you still have to pay for it
- you have to navigate past all the other sports I have no interest in, like NBA and so on.
bit wrong of AFL and our politicians for allowing this to happen. Bit of a put off on sport in general

Kayo is a poor mans Foxtel. Can’t pause, can’t record and no footy shows.

Foxtel for me is 39$ a month.

Adz, can you please advise on how you negotiated this monthly rate?

Exactly.

And of course there are no footy shows right now. Are there any on Foxtel right now? AFL360 on yet?

They will be on during the season I am sure.

Right now there are heaps of shows available to watch and older games replays available.

Whatever you get on Fox footy is available on Kayo.

You can pause rewind or choose to watch game from start or live if it has already started.

You can’t record but why would you need to when you have instant access to replays straight after the game.

The only draw back for me was you get the 7 feed with ads for Ch 7 games on Kayo but that was fixed if your prepared to install Kodi then the Kayo sports add on which comes with a TV guide as well and watch or cast from device that has Kodi. It’s also a lot easier to navigate around than the standard Kayo app.

I called to cancel my Foxtel. Had it for almost two years. Thats over a grand spent.

They tried making it difficult to cancel. I said all I really want is the sports, mainly AFL and that's it. They told me Kayo is just a streaming service, but I said they offer me what I want at a much better price.

Now I have Foxtel for $20 less a month. Still thats an extra $400 I've spent over the last two years that could have been saved.
