Hard to separate a lot of teams at the moment, but here’s how I reckon things look after the first four rounds:
Round 4 form ladder
1. Port Adelaide
2. Collingwood
3. Brisbane
4. GWS
5. Gold Coast
6. Hawthorn
7. Geelong
8. North Melbourne
9. St Kilda
10. Richmond
11. Essendon
12. Western Bulldogs
13. Carlton
14. Sydney
15. Fremantle
16. West Coast
17. Melbourne
18. Adelaide
I’ve put us second on the back of two very solid games and no really bad ones, which is more than most teams have managed so far. Brisbane seems the clearest challenger; the next eleven teams aren’t far off. Some teams that are very hard to get a read on are Geelong, St Kilda and Essendon – would be interested to see where others would put them. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

In their only win so far, they fell over the line against Carlton, and they’re the only team to have been beaten by West Coast (and fairly convincingly at that). Could make a case for putting them on top of one or both of the Perth teams, but no higher than that I’d say. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
