Had stars won their first final then it would not have mattered the final will have been played at the mcg again the stars shot their self in the foot here for not winning that first final. Instead looking like a wash out and the Sydney 6ers win it.

"Only 13,067 turned up to the MCG for Thursday night's game - the second poor turnout at the venue in a week - though more than 1 million viewers around the country watched Glenn Maxwell's Melbourne Stars win through to Saturday night's decider. The article also quotes News Corp's CEO:

"We are very much in the low sports season in Australia. Cricket's fascinating sometimes, antediluvian as it can be, it's not as compelling for crowds in Australia as Aussie rules or rugby league."
