He and Tim "King of Ruckmen" English have each played 7 games this season. Here's the comparison:

https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?playerStatus1=A&tid1=5&playerStatus2=A&tid2=8&type=T&pid1=6373&pid2=6345&fid1=S&fid2=S

Cameron is doing way more than English in virtually every category. If he were playing in a better team, the difference would, no doubt, be even more startling.

Fascinating comparison.

Cameron certainly not getting the plaudits compared to English.

This man has bit by bit become a very important part of our side

Goes about his work with a methodical approach adding value to both ruck & forward line

Unassuming but very effective “team “ player

Didn't think he did much tonight, apart from the last few minutes

5K 3HB 3M 0.0 2T 8HO 1I50 2CL 3CG 1FF 2FA

Wasn't a ruck, wasn't a forward

What am I missing?

Yep, thought he had a bit of a shocker, but the ability to stamp his name on the game late after an arvo to forget stands him in great stead I would say

I'm convinced he is good enough but I'm not sure he goes close to what a happy Mason would offer (when we needed him) under a fresh hungry coaching group.
Ideally this eventuates and we have the 3 of them at top form in 2022.
I'd Like to see That !

Cameron was tewrible for 118 minutes.
Good on him for sticking at it.

‘You’re our guy’: How Cameron became a premiership ruckman
When Collingwood recruited Darcy Cameron at the end of 2019, he’d played just one AFL game.

Darcy Cameron’s 2023 stats:

* Ranked #1 at Collingwood for hit outs
* Career high 45 hit outs in Round 19 v Port Adelaide
