has our style of play the last couple of years been too hard on the body?

are we not fit enough?

do we have the "right" fitness? (ie muscle/aerobic)

are we just plain jinxed?

I think over the summer we may have exerted ourselves too hard under Buckley's training regime, and this therefore could make us more prone to injuries.

I also think we are jinxed such as the Krakouer injury that occurred in the VFL.

The knee injuries are just plain bad luck.

The soft tissue injuries to Didak, Johnson & Taz could be from over-training old bodies.

Reid's injury is a worry after what happened last year.

I think we are more talented in 2012 than we were in 2004 but yes I know what you mean.

I always felt we didn't have a terrible list in 2004 or 2005, it was sheer bad luck of injuries that made us struggle. 2006 where we were injury free demonstrated we weren't as bad as everyone thought we were.

Yep just let them play they way they know how

Our game plan may have been at its used by date, but got us to consecutive GF's, why throw the whole thing out?

I have a hunch...

The last 2 pre seasons the fitness staff and players have been overworked, to the point of fatigue. We won the premiership playing a Blitzkreig style of footy with high rotations.

The sub rule has nixed the high rotations and the extra training in the preseason has caused players to break down. As a team, we haven't played four quarters of hard tough footy for a long long long time.

We always thought the players lifted the foot off the pedal or the coaching staff were holding them back. In hindsight, it just looks like we're not fit enough. Carlton made us look slow, very slow last night

I think it's all bad luck, but after having to suffer a ten goal loss to Carlton I'm all for burning a witch.
