I wonder what the highest team innings score is in shield I was at the mcg once in I think 1998 around then anyway nsw put a score like 710 runs on the board the vics replied with 660 not bad. But in the 2nd innings nsw scored only 120 and the vics 110 so heaps of runs 1st up then nothing 2nd innings. Amazing match.

Of the Qld Test hopefuls, only Labu did any good with the bat (69). Renshaw 19, Burns 13, Khawaja 1.

^^^ 90 nice, that would be the Vics in the 1926/27 season against NSW. They scored 1107 and won by an innings and 656 runs. Ponsford and Woodfull put on 375 for the 1st wicket and Ponsford went on to make 352.

Was in Colombo sri lanka around 1997 on a holiday I went to see a cricket match test between sri lanka and india and sri lanka batting first put on the highest score ever for a team it was 7 declared for 1200 runs it took them around 2 and a half days to make there were like 5 batters with centuries and 1 with a double century the other 2 batters not out were on around 80 runs each amazing amount runs scored and a heap of boundrys and big hitting.
