The last 3 weeks we have been warm favourites, we lost all of em, next week we will be rank outside underdogs, maybe that might free us up a bit at last, cos nobody expects us to win in Perth.

We are a selfish individualistic football club with (as Jock from The Club would say): "low moral fibre"!

That f***in pisses me off considering how often he's illegally shoved under the ball when leading. Give me a f****ing break.

Actually I left out crocker in the vfl.
I reckon he needs another go in the afl.
But i would leave either brown daicos or thomas for crocker.

Shame we are playing garbage then....Not a chance in snowballs hell of beating them next week.

They will be licking their lips looking forward to pumping us.

Won't get within 80 points of the Wiggles. They're just starting to warm.up, we're a pathetic mess, spiraling out of the 8.

See the betting thread later in the week, I'll give you the good mail.

Who the hell in the vfl do we have.
The answer ...No one !!!!!!!

Anyone can offer nothing.

If any player comes in and competes, he’d have done more than Cox has for the better part of this year.

We have built our forward line around a 210cm basketballer from America who never played the game up until recently.

I have absolute respect for Mason for what he has achieved since he took up football, but Collingwood winning premierships is why I follow the club.

He did not have a good game, but hey, he had bout 15 guys who were no better than him, he was far from alone in the ordinary stakes. Confused

How can anyone claim that our players lack heart after last year?? Nothing adds up right now. It is a mindset issue clearly. The confidence has gone, and for something else has gone as well. Bucks excoriating our team publicly. We make an effort this time, but cannot control the ball by hand. Totally bereft of the lightning handball skills we saw earlier in the season, and totally lacking in any confidence to move the ball. It is not inherent lack of talent. Somethiing else is wrong.

Agree MTTM. Distinct lack of confidence is obvious with fumbles, missed marks, ill directed handballs, avoiding the middle etc. Yes, it is a mind-set thing IMHO. Last season we had an impossible dream to chase and had nothing to lose. It was exciting and the boys set aside all caution to meet the challenge. This season we've had to carry the expectations of coaches, media and supporters. This is such an inhibiting, dreary burden to carry.

I reckon Bucks should just stand back this week and leave it to the players to work out what they want from this season and what they're going to have to do to get it.

Cox hasn't had a good year.
But he is worth persisting with.

The trouble is also so many players go missing for large amount of times.
There is probably 10 or so players who would fit this bill.

What could Bucks possibly say after that performance. I'm starting to think something is really rotten in Denmark

Yep, Stephenson, Beams, Grundy's contract talks. Injuries (we're a different team with Howe and Adams), and opposition have figured out how to beat our game plan (flood the ball, press, congest). That's shot us mentally, the doubt has set in. And obviously, by Buckley's reactions, the players aren't following instructions.

That is a strange take on it, because I really thought it was us who tried to flood and congest. Our confidence in our own ability to drive the ball forward is totally shot. So we answer the opposition with negative stultifying play, hoping to just squeeze out a win in a 50-50 pot shot. Unfortunately, did not even succeed against 15th ranked team in the competition. My issue is that the loss was not caused by the injury toll in our backline, because our defence has held up constantly. The loss has been caused by our paralysis and fear in moving the ball. A sudden collapse in our ball handling skills and the shattered confidence that results is sending our game style back to the dark old days of 2 or 3 years ago. The lack of tackling pressure is a product of two things: we lose the ball unexpectedly due to skill errors and then can't apply the pressure adequately and the other reason: well that's the one I'm not sure of. That is the unknowable one, and hopefully it is not a psychological rot such as the one that corroded Adelaide after their GF loss. I am gutted. Sorry to all. I am just really blown over by the fall in form, and our inability to respond tonight.
